A:AnswerIt records in approximately 3 minute segments. When you watch the video files, there is no gap between the end of one file and the next. If you use the 2nd (rear) camera, two files will record at the same time on the micro SDHC card. I use a 64GB card which records 10-12 hours before overwriting older files. If you only use the front camera, you can record more time. It would be a good idea to get more than one card so you still have one in the camera when you copy the files to your computer for viewing. Video files are created in .mov format and are high quality color for the front camera, lower quality black and white for the rear camera. There is an option to change the quality of the recording which will affect the storage space required for each file. Files are identified by date and time of recording and an A for the front camera or a B for the rear. The view screen on this camera is to small to see the playback well. I would recommend this camera to anyone.
A:AnswerI installed by myself in 20 min to the auxiliary power outlet if you decide to install direct to the fuses box is a little more difficult. You can find on youtube easy way to install depends of your car model and brand.
A:AnswerI would imagine there is an official recommended cold limit, however I've been truly impressed with how well it has done during the brutally cold weather we've had this year. Mine continued to fire right up in the AM the few weeks we had highs in the negative teens! One morning when the overnight low (air temp, not wind chill) was -25 it did take a few minutes of driving before it was willing to power up, but then again I wasn't sure my car would even be willing to start that morning... :)
A:AnswerYes the power source is throw the Cigarette lighter..Once you plug it in the camera will turn on.. I'm not sure if the camera charges and the you can use it off the charge,,Be nice if it did that so that way I could still use my GPS..I will probably end up have to go get a dual cigarette adaptor for that
A:AnswerHi
Dash cam are not intended to use as back up cam. The USB ports for the cams are easily installed at the large screen cam. No need to wire it in the tail gate lights because it’s function is constantly video when the power is on.
I hope this helps.

A:AnswerThey will install new devices purchased at BestBuy or other vendors for the same rate. I had units installed in 3 vehicles by Geek Squad; one of which I had purchased from another vendor. They offer a 1 year installation service plan that covers up to 3 vehicles which costs less than 3 individual installs of the front and rear cams.
A:AnswerHi! Yes, it does have WIFI but you cannot connect to your camera remotely. It is only meant for quick access of a recorded video while you are in the vehicle with the device ON.
A:AnswerI clicked the small button on the bottom right corner that looks like two square boxes to change view mode. You can have all front, back, or combo of front or back.
A:AnswerI don’t believe the shortcut button “ok” works to activate wifi on this model even though manual states. A really big drawback to have to navigate through the menus just to enable wifi!
