Samsung does not appear to have specs for the "501" series online yet. From observation, however: The "500" models have a black plastic case; the "501" has a gray plastic case. Looking at "chrome://system", the "500" models have N3050 or N3060 processor; the "501" identifies another processor in that family (with nominally similar specs but possibly different benchmarks and power usage).

I'm trying to find the answer to that myself. Strangely, the XE501 is not for sale on the Samsung website. It appears XE501C13- (K01US and K02US) is an upgrade of XE500C13 - (K01US and K02US) from the N3050 Celeron.
