A:AnswerHey Novice - A 2.1 soundbar has a left and right channel (dedicated speakers) and the .1 or any number after the point is the low level or subwoofers in a setup. . A soundbar having 3.1 has the left , right and a dedicated center channel for your vocals , giving you better clarity for dialog and a subwoofer for bass. ^Jason
A:AnswerNorb, the HW-T650 has a dedicated center channel, which focuses on dialogue. Approximately 70% of your dialogue will come from the center channel on your soundbar, allowing for clear and improved dialogue. ^Gina
A:AnswerHi! Yes, all of our Samsung soundbars will be compatible with our Samsung TVs. The Soundbar will include the recommended cable to connect to the TV, or you can take advantage of the wireless Bluetooth connection from the soundbar to the TV. No additional accessories are needed to get your audio up and running! ^Tim
A:AnswerHi BK! This soundbar supports one HDMI input and one HDMI output. If your TV does not support Digital Optical Audio, you can run your HDMI source into the HDMI input on the soundbar, then connect the soundbar to an available HDMI port on the TV via the soundbars HDMI output.^Tim
A:AnswerHi! When using the Soundbar for the audio on the TV, your internal TV speakers will be disabled and the sound will only come out of the Soundbar for optimal quality. If you would like to use both, you can utilize the digital optical audio connection instead of HDMI and enable Multi Output Audio through the TV menu. The soundbar will only require 1 HDMI connection to the TV through the HDMI ARC port. ^Tim
A:AnswerHi there! You can add the SWA-8500S Rear Kit to the HW-T650 soundbar. Check it out at Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-wireless-rear-loudspeakers-black/5754510.p?skuId=5754510 ^Gina
A:AnswerI also have a Samsung to Samsung set up, however I had in my previous setup an LG TV with a Samsung sound bar and it worked the same as this one, the set up may have been a little more convoluted but not a big deal. In my current configuration I don't even use the Samsung TV or Samsung Soundbar Remotes, I use the Xfinity voice remote which was able to work the on/off, volume controls, it is easier to use the Samsung remote if you want to go to Netflix, Amazon, etc., assuming of course that you have a smart tv, if not you can also login to those apps via the Xfinity remote/box.
A:AnswerNot sure about that particular tv, but I've had problems with mine. Had it first hooked up to an older Samsung tv and a Roku, but every few minutes the display would drop out, but the sound kept playing. Tried new cables, but it kept happening. Tried updating the firmware, but it wouldn't work. The Samsung tv was temporary, but hooking it up to my normal tv (a Sharp), the picture still cut out. Exchanged the bar with a new one, and it had the same problems. Bought a new Roku, tried a different input on the tv, nothing. I've literally replaced every component, and nothing is working right.
This experience has turned me off Samsung soundbars, so I'm going to exchange it for the LG SN6Y. Would have done it last night, but the line to get in was too long. Very frustrated.
A:AnswerHi Smitty! The HW-T650 soundbar will work with any TV that supports a digital optical audio, HDMI ARC, or Bluetooth audio connection. Check the back of your TV or owners manual to determine if your TV supports one of these three audio connections. ^Tim
A:AnswerMy living room and dining room is one big long room with my couch in the middle facing the TV and the back of the couch facing the dining area. I have the tV and sound bar on the wall of the living room in front of couch and the boom box against the wall in the dining room which is way behind the couch. It’s about 18 feet from one wall all the way to the other wall. It works out great!
A:AnswerHi veganboomer! Soundbars such as the HW-T650 are designed to replace external audio devices by receiving an audio signal from the TV or source, they do not feature an audio output or the ability to send audio to an additional device. Instead, you would bypass the soundbar and connect the headphones directly to the TV, or to the source device. The NU6900 does not feature connections designed for headphones, and does not have Bluetooth built in. You will need to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter compatible with the TV to take advantage of a wireless headphone solution. ^Tim
A:AnswerHi Brando! The HW-T650 Soundbar is a great gaming soundbar. The T650 features a 6.5” wireless subwoofer providing a deep bass. Whether you are watching movies or playing games, you will enjoy the reality as you are part of the scene. It also features Game Mode through cross-talk cancellation, and auto conversion to Game Mode when connected to Samsung TVs. ^Gina
