Thanks for your interest in the RF32FMQDBSR. The change in the capacity from 31.7 cubic feet to 30.4 cubic feet, and in the estimated yearly energy usage from $61 to $89, are a result of changes to Energy Star's measurement and testing standards that went into effect in September 2014. The actual design and efficiency of the refrigerator hasn't changed; though the information may not yet have been updated everywhere to reflect the new standards. These changes are industry-wide and not specific to Samsung. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Stranger still, the new chef's collection model is rated at more than 34 cu ft. It looks identical in person and is the same dimensions. Don't go by statistics alone. There is a BIG difference in cubic volume and usable space!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will sometimes find the factory may use that as an estimate for several units as an average where as a store might have tested just one unit . Sometimes you might find a difference in how often the doors are opened and closed and what type of an environment the unit is setting in . Then there are different rates for different cities . Older or newer electric in the home . Do you know if where you would place this unit is on a 15, or 20 amp dedicated circuit and or 14 or 20 gauge wire . On fuses or circuit breaker ?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it's 31.7cft
