How much detergent do you use for a normal size load? I have heard that front loaders use as little as 1 tablespoon of detergent. Is this correct?

All I could find is a recommendation that says follow the guidelines on the detergent as long as the detergent is he. We try to stay below the line that says normal in the dispenser.

Hi Curious,

It's true that HE Front Load Washers generally require far less HE detergent compared to conventional washers and non-HE formulations, but the actual amount varies depending on the concentration of the detergent (2x, 3x, etc.). Because of this, it's important to check the detergent packaging for the recommended amount based on that particular formulation.
