I just got a Maytag washer with a glass top and the first time I used warm water my control panel was very wet from condensation. It looks like this is a feature, but not a good one. I placed a hand towel over the crack between the lid and control panel. That prevents the condensation. The moisture can’t be good for the electronic control panel. Maytag should provide a gasket to block the moisture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine does the same thing! IMHO- This should not be considered okay because it’s heavy condensation that accumulated directly on the keyboard control panel (on the outside) but not sure if it’s also accumulating to a degree under the panel interior. I place a hand towel on the outside over the rear lid area to prevent the build up on the outside (not sure if this method worsens any possible interior build up (probably). My suspicion is this results from hot water entering the soap drawer as water mixes with the soap. The drawer happens to be directly below the condensation build up area. I do believe the circuit board is probably somewhat water resistant, just guessing on this. But hey, most electronic items these days have a short life spans, not like my mom’s washer that lasted 40 years. :) happy washing
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have only seen condensation on the top on the inside. Never has it been on the outside. Maybe the seal isn't tight enough. I would call customer service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also have found condensation on the control panel when washing clothes and towels with warm water. I am going to try keeping a towel along the opening of the door below the control panel because I am worried about the effect on the control panel if I do nothing. Here's hoping it works :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just got mine a few days ago and I see same thing! Entire control panel soaking wet! I’ve never had this problem with any other washer?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I will be calling whirlpool it should not happen it is possible this is a design flaw. I am going to try window stripping and see if that work's water should never condensation around electrical components
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine does the same thing but I'm not worried about it. I assume it is normal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Jncmom, The WA52J8060AW and other HE Top Load Washers aren't air tight, so the moisture from the steam inside the Washer could react with the air outside it to produce condensation. This is normal. Thanks for the question, and for choosing Samsung! Ms. Samsung
