Samsung's Motion Rate 120 is software, which can be turned off. In expert picture settings you'd select Auto Motion + and change that from Auto to off or Custom to tweak the motion to your liking.

It should be noted, however, that Motion Rate is software interpolation and is not the native Refresh rate. Motion Rate 120 is 60Hz Refresh, to get 120Hz you'd need to go with the nu8000 or better which is Motion Rate 240, or 120Hz Refresh.

YES - you can turn it off, you can set it to Auto, or pick a setting between 1-10!
