“I keep seeing 'open box' options but when I click on the open box link it just takes me to the tablet overview that I would see if I'm looking at regular price. Is 'open-box' an option available online or is this strictly an option for the store?”

Basically both But honestly you can find more options in bestbuy.com . I love browsing in the bestbuy store and I have checked that sometimes you can see the same open-box product in the store with cheaper price and the same condition
