How is this different from model U28D590D? I see Samsung has two monitors that seem pretty similar in specs, but U28E590D is more expensive. Does anybody know how they are different and why U28E590D model is cheaper than the other one?

I'm pretty certain that the U28D590D was discontinued and that the U28E590D is the replacement model.

U28E590D supports AMD FreeSync where the U28D590D does not. FreeSync allows for veritable refresh rates that help prevent screen tearing. Along with a FreeSync monitor you also require a AMD GPU or APU that supports, AMD's website has a full list of supported chips

The U28E590D has FreeSync where the U28D590D does not. FreeSync allows for veritable refresh rate to lower screen tearing. AMD's website has the full list of GPU's and APU's that support FreeSync.

Yes, this has AMD Freesync built in, the older one doesn't.
