Push the little white "lock" switch on the left side of the card up.

[Note: A new memory card should have worked in your camera immediately though, as mine did (i.e., without having to perform a separate formatting process).]

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To unlock the SanDisk Ultra 8GB SDHC UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card, you have to locate the slider at the left of the card and move it up. If it is already up, move it up and down a few times and let it rest in the locked position for 30 seconds. Then slide it up to the unlocked position. It is then ready to be used.
