- Answer The shelves come pre-installed in the unit, but are very easy to adjust. They are secured with standard rack screws, so you can remove, adjust height, and re-install as needed. The blanking panels work in the same way as the shelves. The rails on the rack are standard size, so they'll accommodate rack-mountable gear just fine with the shelving.

QuestionAre the front rails adjustable? They look like they're mounted right behind the door. I would need to move the front rails inward so my network switch / patch panel cables would clear the door when I close it.

QuestionCan you mount a network switch inside the cabinet with the ports facing out the back of the cabinet (with cabling coming in from the outside from a patch panel), instead of the front?

- Answer Yes, the rear rails will have to be moved inward in order to have clearance for patch panel to switch patch cables. It's just as easy to do the same in the front.
