If it is a dedicated microphone input, it will not work. If it is the headphone port, it will work if your headphone port has a TRRS headphone port, which it likely does. You might need to select the input in your settings to make it function. Also, you need to be aware if you plug it into the headphone port, that will mute your speakers, that is the design of these port on laptops.
