• No additional purchases are necessary to exercise on this bike. It is Bluetooth compatible with the Schwinn app as well as Apple Health. The Schwinn app can also sync with My Fitness Pal.

• Nope works perfectly fine without supplemental apps. The various different “rides” that are available internally should suffice. I do have it synced to my My Fitness Pal app so I don’t have to upload the workout data. Good bike at a good price. J
