Absolutely, I've got one of those myself, just stick one of the metal sheets to the back and that phone ain't going nowhere! Tip, do not pull your phone off, tilt and slide it off. That magnet is quite strong

Yes, the MagicMount Pro2 is compatible with MagSafe OtterBox cases. You can use the included MagicPlate and place the metal plate on the outside of your protective case if the case is not MagSafe compatible. I removed the case because the hold is not strong enough with the case on.
