A:AnswerHello Nate96,
The system requirements for the Seagate One Touch are:
- Windows 7 or higher, or Mac OS 10.12 or higher operating system
- Available SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port (required for USB 3.2 Gen 1 transfer speeds)
For more information about this drive, please check the data sheet o the link below:

A:AnswerGenerally speaking USB3.0 devices are downward compatible to USB2.0, maybe even lower. The difference is that they can only move data at the speed of the USB port they are connected to. But if you are loading from a USB2.0 port and restoring with a USB3.0 port then you will get the advantage of the faster speed. For example copying data or backing up from an older computer to a newer one. I hope this helps.
A:AnswerHey, I just called Seagate and asked technical support for that same question. It is like an extended warranty and they send you a pre-paid label to ship it to them and they recover it if they can and return it to you. They have chat options and a phone number to call and get support. I did not get any info from Best Buy and I am not holding them responsible for that. They cannot know every product they sell in that informative capacity. Hope not too late for you to know. I just found out minutes ago.
A:AnswerThis is a tough question to answer.
You (probably) can back up any pictures and documents you have on your cell phone, but not apps/settings or the OS itself - UNLESS your device is rooted.
I can connect my 1tb Seagate drive to my phone and it works, but I have a new-ish phone with Android 12.
Some older phones may not be able to connect due to not having the ability to power the drive without an external power source.
