I currently have both. My guess is that they now used the new grippy silicone head band and the sennheiser denim on top that it reduced manufacturing costs. Also it doesn’t have the metal sliders for the headband and now clicks which is a pro imo. the sliders always moved out of place so it never was perfect after 10 minutes of moving with the headset. They did overhaul with the new tech though. Worth the upgrade if you’re looking into it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As someone that owns both i can say without a doubt the 4’s are an upgrade over the 3’s, i also prefer the new look of the 4’s compared to the 3’s as well. My best guess at why they’re $349 instead of $399 like when the 3’s came out is that they’re trying to undercut Sony and their new WH-1000XM5’s. When the Momentum 3’s were out they were often compared to the WH-1000XM4’s because they were both high quality ANC headphones at the same price point, but now the Momentum 4’s are up against the WH-1000XM5’s both in similar quality of ANC headphones, but now the Sennheiser’s come in at a price point $50 cheaper, which would most likely lead people to buy the Sennheiser’s as the better buy
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The reason for being cheaper is due to build material. The 4s use plastic and fabric where’s the 3s use metal and sheep leather, which is more expensive. The sound driver in the 4 is the same 42mm driver found in the 3.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From some of the reviews that I've read, the MW4 is more favored towards bass happy. The MW3 is more neutral sounding. I prefer that myself. Also I keep looking and the sole reason I settled for the MW3 is because its one of the few BT headphones/earbuds that support the android APTX Low Latency. Definitely helps when watching movies, there is barely any noticeable lag in video/audio. MW4 doesn't support the APTX-LL
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are cheaper because they changed the build to consist of a plastic material rather than metal. I didn't like this at first, but it turns out to be more durable and super lightweight so you can wear them forever. This is a feature of many of the other entry Senheiser headphones have also been adopting. So I'm not sure that answers your question, but it wasn't very clearly asked.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A lot of people who have used the Momentum 3 vs. 4 speak on how the 3’s are staunch favorites. I have only used the 4’s, so I can’t say for my own. But I know a lot of people really love their 3’s.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been looking at ANC headphones, in particular the Momentum 3's and Momentum 4's. Most retailers are now selling the Momentum 3's for $250, $100 cheaper than the 4's.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Short answer… it’s not. It has cheaper build quality ,better battery life ,and noise cancellation. The sound quality and build quality took a step back.
