will my outdoor speakers get ruined in the rain? i have them set up by the pool and dont plan on putting them away for the winter, will the cold and rain affect the speakers. by the way i live in southern california.

Mine have been outside for 10 years and they still work. We obviously don't have issues with the cold here, but they do get LOTS of water and still work just fine. These are great speakers for the price!

I have had these speakers drenched in heavy thunderstorm for two straight weeks in Northern VA. I've even played them during a thunderstorm. I have not had any issues yet.

I haven't tested them for snow yet but winter is coming.

These speakers do not have the normal paper speakers in them. I don't see any way they can get damaged unless you throw them in your pool. I suspect they may even float and survive that, but I wouldn't try it. I have 2 sets permanently in my yard.

I have my speakers outdoors, by the pool, and the sprinkler system for years . Never had a problem with the weather or elements, after nine years I did have to replace just one speaker. Texas is brutal in the summer and never a problem, Go for it you will love them!!!!!

I've just set them up this summer but they have been through several storms already. I have, on occasion, anticipated some rain and covered them up with a plastic bag. I don't think it's necessary but since I'm at home anyway, why not. Not sure how the cold of winter will affect them though, again, I will cover them up.

These speakers are weather rated to withstand outdoor conditions such as rain and cold, but to what extent, I could not comment on.
