No it does not. I just pushed my insulation away from the speaker at installation.

If you have decent handyman skills, you can throw together a simple "pseudo-box" behind the speaker to improve the sound and somewhat sound proof the level that travels to other rooms or through the wall. You need any type of wood panels glued and nailed together to sit behind the speaker. Adding a single layer fiberglass sheet minimize sound travel to unwanted areas. If you don't want to build anything, I believe Sonance does have pre-fab enclosures you can buy.
