• Yes, there are 2 tiny microphones built into the front of the camera at the 1 and 11 o'clock positions above the lens (if you are looking at the front of the camera). If you plan to use the camera for a lot of video, I would get the wireless microphone accessory but the built in mic was adequate for my casual video use.

• Yes, for video mode it does have a built in mic.

• Yes it does - confirmed audio in the videos I took. If want an external mike, I believe has to be put through some adapter via flash hot shoe - please confirm via googling on that.

• Yes it does, but it's not very good (no built-in mics are). If you want quality audio, I'd suggest a good external mic.
