Yes. It mounts as an external flash drive. Just put Music in the MUSIC folder on the device (either internal or external drive that shows up). The player catalogs it once you disconnect the device.

Yes, but you need to have an available USB port and, preferable an SSD card reader, although music can be transferred directly to the Sony internal memory or card memory once it is plugged in to a USB port in the Chrome book and using the Sony cable.
