• They are plenty loud depending on input but I don’t think they amplify greatly or at all.

• Hi mack63, Thank you for your inquiry with the WH-CH710N. On this model, the headset will only control what level the input volume is to a lower volume. The headphone volume will depend on the connected device when using the headphone cable. The +/–, and (play/call/next/previous) buttons cannot be used. Perform operations, such as adjusting the volume and play/pause, on the playback device. Also, depending on the Bluetooth device, it may be necessary to adjust the volume or set the audio output setting on the device. However there are some headphones that is compatible with Sony | Headphones Connect app where you can adjust the volume on both the app and the connected device. I hope this helps. Regards, Kris
