A:AnswerHey Sam,
The RGB Illumination is powered through USB connection. Because the Xbox Controller only uses a 3.5mm connection, there is no way the controller can provide enough power for the RGB lighting.
A:AnswerIt is compatible with the Xbox One. The box comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter to plug right up to the controller. However, you'll only be able to modify the RGB lighting and utilize DTS:X on a PC via the USB port.
A:AnswerYes, the Arctis 7 is wireless. It also has a metal headband instead of plastic, and the ski goggle band is longer and wraps completely around the headset. The 7 also has inputs and outputs on the transmitter. The input lets you hook up something like a phone for wireless audio, and the output can be used to connect speakers, which switch automatically when you turn the headset on and off.
A:AnswerIt does not, unfortunately. It's also not surround sound on Xbox if that matters to you. It's still a very good headset with great build quality.
A:AnswerThe steelseries software lets you control microphone sidetone (The ability to hear yourself). You can adjust the volume at which you hear yourself as well.
A:AnswerThe newer XBox ONE controllers don't need an adapter, as they have a 3.5mm headset connector built in. However if you are using an older controller you will need an adapter, as one is not included.
A:AnswerI use this headset with my PS4 and love it. Here are some troubleshooting ideas:
1. Make sure everything is plugged in correctly. Either directly into the controller or into one of the console's usb ports. It may help to unplug it and plug it back in. You should be able to see a message pop up saying you disconnected/connected the headset.
2. Make sure the mic is pulled out and unmuted (there's a mute button on the back of the left ear cup - it makes the mic glow red when muted).
3. Go to the settings on the PS4 to adjust the mic volume. You can get there by holding the PS button on the controller to bring up the quick menu, then select Sound/Devices then Adjust Microphone Level. You should be able to see the input volume that the mic is picking up and adjust the level with a slider to get it in the "good" range.
4. It could be game-specific. For example, in Overwatch you don't automatically connect to voice chat unless you change the settings. And even then there can sometimes be issues joining a group chat. So if you see the mic working in step 3, I'd check for a game-specific tutorial for help.
Hope that helps!
