I bought it specifically for that use! It works OK, the bass is less boomy than ported sub (preference) and I use with their wireless kit to hide in closet. The bass on Ambeo is really quite good, so improvement is subtle, but when friends hear sound coming from only Ambeo (in a cavernous room with high ceilings) they can’t believe it. We have a 5.1 in another room with Klipsch sub and it has more kick for movies, but the the ambeo + sub is captivating for music. And as you probably already know, dialogue is clear and wonderful on Ambeo.
