The detailed answer to this question is available on Tablo's web site. In brief: The QUAD does not have any built-in storage for recordings. You need to add a hard disk, either an external USB drive or an internal 2.5" SATA drive. The maximum capacity supported by the Tablo is 8TB, but height restrictions for an internal drive limits the maximum is 4TB when an internal drive is installed. Each 1TB is enough for 250-300 hours of recording storage. Personally, I use my Tablo QUAD mostly for time shifting, not for retaining many movies or full seasons of TV series. I use the 1TB internal SATA drive recommended by Tablo. It has plenty of storage for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Zero. You have to install a small form factor (Lap top hard drive) or plug a NAS into the USB port. I purchase a 500GB SSD hard drive (SSD to make it quite an use less power) for about $60. Which will provide my about 100 hours of recordings. They support up to 4TB drives, just make sure it's one of the models on there recommended list. Hard drives that are designed to automatically power down or have large block sizes have been issues with some people
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no internal storage. You need to add your own, but IIRC, you can use external storage, such as a flash drive (read the requirements though). I bought a 2TB 2.5 SATA internal for this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None. You need either an external or internal sata drive for storage. I used an external 2 tb hard drive and it works great. You can pick up a good external hard drive for under 50.00. I love my tablo and you can't go wrong with it. Remember, you will need to invest in the future channel lineup guide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's no internal storage. You provide your own storage drive. There's option for external drive (USB connection) or internal (SATA connection).
