QuestionWhat does the dishwasher look like as delivered without cabinetry?

- Answer The front of panel ready appliances are not meant to remain without a custom panel. There are holes in the front of the metal door that are used for attaching a panel that matches your kitchen. Typically, panel ready appliances are purchased at the same time as the rest of the cabinetry so the dishwasher (or fridge) blends in with the kitchen. You need to have a cabinet maker fabricate panel to match the rest of your kitchen and also purchase a handle meant to pull the weight of the door open (usually not a standard door pull).

- Answer You can buy panels at Ikea that fit this. Worked for us several times.

QuestionI have an existing Thermador dishwasher model DW44FI that has a panel front. Will the panel from this dishwasher fit this model ( i.e. are the holes for the screws in the exact same place on this model as they were on my older modell?

- Answer They MUST be covered with custom fronts. There is no panel on the appliance, just a bare metal front.
