Press the silver TiVo button on your remote. Go to "Menu" and select "Channel Settings" then "Channel List." Make sure the WCBS channel has a checkmark next to it. If you don't see WCBS listed, go back to the "Channel Settings" menu and Select "Antenna Channel Scan." When the scan is complete, see if WCBS is now available on your guide. If not, your antenna may not be able to receive the signal with sufficient strength. If you have a plug-in power supply to amplify the antenna signal, make sure it has power. If you see WCBS on your guide but cannot watch it, tune to WCBS, go back to the "Channel Settings" menu and run the "Antenna Signal Strength" test. This can be used to redirect the antenna for a stronger signal. If all fails, you may need a better antenna. I had to move my antenna into the attic in order to get good reception because of terrain issues. The higher the antenna, the better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your antenna cannot receive a specific channel, the OTA Roamio cannot record it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you connect your antenna to your tv, and you can see it, then you can record it. As of this moment, I am able to record any channel. Last time, i couldn't do SD channels. Just make sure you get a good antenna or youll have trouble using it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You may just need to rescan your TV channels. From time to time, the we see OTA channels do what's called a "repack" as the FCC uses more spectrum for different things, including mobile broadband. Eventually, we'll be left with 23 channels of over-the-air broadcast TV, or possibly none at all at some point. Also, reorienting or upgrading your antenna can help you get channels or a better picture, usually both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you can watch your CBS channel on your television's HD tuner without cable then the TIVO will display the channel as well. A Tivo box will not allow you to see a channel you couldn't see with your antenna. That being said, I have several Tivos and I have found that the Roaio tuner seems to be better than the ones in my TVs or set top tuners so if the channel is fuzzy on your TV's HD tuner you MIGHT be able to get it in better on a Tivo Roamio.
