Answering this question precisely would require more time than I have, but I can tell you that after the standard maps of the USA, Canada, and Mexico are installed (they come pre-installed) and updated, I still have 2828 MB of free space, but that amount of free space is less than half of the total space. (The pre-installed maps appear to take up a little less than 2/3 of the total space.) If you need to install more maps that require more than the remaining space, you can always uninstall USA, Canada, and Mexico to make room for others, and you will still be able to reinstall USA, Canada, and Mexico later.
