The long handles and lid handles are designed to stay cool. They have heat breaks to help reduce heat transfer from the pot to the handle. If you are using them on a crowded gas burner, it is possible they could heat up from adjacent burners. Side handles may get warm when boiling water for example as heat transfers throughout the pan. We recommend using caution or protection whenever touching hot cookware.
