The Explorian blender will pull about 2000 Amps under a heavy load for a very short period of time. The rating on the label is the wattage that the blender can constantly pull without overheating. The amount of power consumed will depend on the load being applied by the material being blended. We don’t find wattage – or any single measure – to be particularly useful when comparing blenders. Blending efficiency results from the complex interaction of the motor, blades and container design, not from any single factor or number.
