A:AnswerMy search is now down between LG and Vizio due to their committed HDR support for HDR 10 and HDR Dolby Vision support. Does not mean that others won't follow. I just now need to decide on 65 vs. 70 inch. The Vizio 70 in M series at sub $2K is looking pretty strong....
A:AnswerThanks for your interest in the M70-D3. This TV supports Dolby Vision. VIZIO is working on a software update this summer that will enable HDR10 support on the new 2016 M-Series. Thanks again! -Randal
A:AnswerThe all-new VIZIO SmartCast™M70-D3 comes with a standard remote and a 6 inch Android tablet remote. The Android Tablet remote control would require internet connection to make use of the all-new VIZIO SmartCast™ technology. Thanks- Jesse
A:AnswerAll content providers will be delivering content with HDR content, either following the HDR 10 or HDR Dolby Vision Spec. This manufacturer has committed to support both formats. This is big. I have held out to get a new 4K TV until HDR is here and it is finally here!!! Getting my new TV very soon.
A:AnswerYou shouldn't have any problems at all. We connected an AppleTV box to this TV and it works just fine, including for Air Display. You might find using the Android remote a bit awkward, especially if (like us) all your other stuff is iOS. We used one of the "middle" HDMI ports (2, 3, 4 -- can't remember which) and there is no problem. OTOH, we also have all of the supplementary components (DVR, TV, Wii, AppleTV, Amazon FireTV, etc.) hardwired via ethernet cable. We find that using a small router with hardwire makes for a better signal across the board.
A:AnswerHi Senator! The VIZIO SmartCast Displays with Chromecast Built-in utilize Google Cast technology which allows access to thousands of applications. To watch your favorite applications such as Netflix or Hulu all you need to do is open the app on your smart phone or tablet and "cast" or "fling" the content to the display. You can still connect your Charter Spectrum to the display and use the remote to control the basic functions of the display such as power and volume.
A:AnswerThe home theater display can connect through an Ethernet connection. The tablet can bluetooth to the display but you would need it through wifi to Cast to the display. If you need any assistance, feel free to contact us at 1-844-254-8088. Thanks! -Randal
A:Answeryes, just buy a wall mount wide enough to hold a 70 inch screen. most stop around 60. It uses a common VERA bolt pattern so any one you buy that can meet the size and minimal weight requirements will work.
A:AnswerWow - I just posted a long review on this topic. Their is a huge difference at least on their M70-D4 Model. Its actually not a TV at all. It is a really nice monitor. Google cast is like apple airplay. You can watch whats on your phone or tablet and pushed that to the screen. The problem with this TV is its the only way to watch Netflix or really anything as the TV, because the TV has no tuner or built in apps. It really can't be called a TV.
A:AnswerThe remote is not programmable. It is extremely basic.
However with any HDMI device you plug into the TV, the TV will turn on that device when you select it from the 6 inputs it has. (5 HDMI and Cast)
My configuration is this.
Home Theater sound system with several things plugged into it, the TV will not control anything plugged into the sound system, only what is plugged into the TV.
When I stream content to it through the built in Google ChromCaster, the TV turns on the sound system, and switches the sound system to the TV audio.
When I am done watching the show I press the one power button on the TV remote and it turns off the sound system also. The trigger signal is through the HDMI cable.
If you plug the Cable Box directly into the TV and not the home theater, it will change the channels, but will not bring up the menu. So just up and down is all you get, and no switching back channels or even typing in the channel number, the remote simply doesn't have the buttons. However if you use the tablet it will control the cable box.
