It doesn't scratch the screen. Its smooth but doesn't feel exactly like a pen.

It is soft tipped. Not like the hard tipped Wacom stylus. It will not, can not scratch your screen. But I would take your tablet with you and try it out at the store before you pay the price. it is no different than a $2 stylus for the tip on it. It's an over priced Cheep stylus.
