QuestionHow do I turn on the ice maker of my freezer? I cannot locate an on off switch although there is a button i can push but can't tell whether its the control and if it is how do i tell if the ice maker is working

- Answer Hello Royer! Per the Use and Care Guide: To manually turn off the ice maker, press TEMP and FAST COOL at the same time and hold for 3 seconds until the “Ice Maker Off” icon lights up. When the ice maker is set to OFF, it will stop producing ice. Pressing and holding TEMP and FAST COOL again for 3 seconds turns on the ice maker and the “Ice Maker Off” icon disappears.

- Answer yes the guys which delivered my fridge they locked wheels, but it is very easy to do it, when i painted behind fridge i have to unlock and it really take few minutes.

- Answer We just removed doors to get into our entryway. Simple to disassemble and easy to reassemble. Door lined up good as new when we placed them back on.

QuestionI'm getting condensation along the top seal of the freezer. I thought maybe it was from water spill when getting water out of the front of fridge. But this is not the case. All doors and freezer drawer seem closed tight

- Answer We had this issue at first too. Turned out it was caused by the humidity from weather. We had all windows in house open Once humid days were gone no more condensation along top of freezer. We too thought it was dripping from getting water.

QuestionJust got the fridge how long will it be before ice is made an water comes out?

- Answer it took a few min for the water to come out. had to get the air out of the line. just hold a glass and push against it. run about a gallon thru it. as far as ice was concerned, i believe it was making ice in a few hours. we discarded all ice made in a 24 hour cycle. after that the water really tasted good. we are on well water with a water softner hooked up....water never tasted so good!

QuestionI saw a complaint about the noise level. What are the sound levels generated by this refrigerator at its various operational functions (Compressor running is the most important, then just plugged in idling)

- Answer Honestly, it's quite quiet. I'd say it's running in the 40 decible range while the compressor is on. I have had no impressions that the unit is loud or noisy while functioning, so don't be worried about that. Placement is also important...if your unit is exposed on all 4 sides, it will be marginally louder than a unit in a cabinet. I'd compare the loudness to that of a gas oven heating up, or one of the new extremely quiet dishwashers running.

- Answer Hi CGill, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we cannot comment as to other manufacturers products, The Whirlpool recommendation set points are 38°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer.

QuestionNot much ice coming out of dispenser and not able to get dispenser open to check for problems. Purchased 3 weeks ago.

- Answer It takes a bit of an effort to open up the dispenser to see the ice tray. We haven’t had issues with the ice maker as such but it does seem to make only small amounts of ice at a time. We like the it overall. You may want to call them in to look at it if you got coverage on it. I know that seems frustrating but it may just be a simple fix and they can show you just how much effort to open the dispenser. I know it does not solve the problem but hope that helps.

QuestionOne day the water stopped dispensing and no ice. I removed the filter, checked for blocked ice, turned up the temp in case it was frozen, no change. I REALLY don't want to call for repair, any other ideas? Checked water line, it's open fully. Any ideas??
