A:AnswerI am able to answer one of your questions out of the two, as far as frequency range:
25.0000 ~ 54.0000 MHz
108.0000 ~ 174.0000 MHz
216.0025 ~ 512.0000 MHz
764.0000 ~ 781.9968 MHz
791.0000 ~ 796.9968 MHz
806.0000 ~ 823.9875 MHz
849.0000 ~ 868.9875 MHz
894.0000 ~ 960.0000 MHz
1240.0000 ~ 1300.0000 MHz
Second question you had about how many channels, I assume you mean memory capacity? The scanner uses an object-oriented system of storing frequencies which is different than most other scanners. Using the EZ-Scan software to program in frequencies automatically from the RadioReference database, it auto populates and categorizes anything in your area, depending on if you chose to populate your scanner by city, county, or zip code. Having used this scanner myself for about 6 months now, I have never seen a hard limit on the amount of frequencies I can program in here, other than the fact there are 200 available 'scanlists' which can be programmed to include certain or favorite frequencies you may have for fast reference or to scan specific ones and not others, as you specify. I believe you are only limited to the amount of memory slots relative to the size of the SD card you use with the TRX-2, since it stores everything on that SD card. It comes with a 4GB chip by the way.
I have programmed in all 3 counties in the state of Delaware and have almost 2,000 memory slots filled up and it just creates room for more, as long as it fits on the SD card. But of course, the more frequencies you have active the longer it will take to scan through everything and you might miss some transmissions if it takes 4 minutes to scan through the whole run. You can always disable scanlists or skip channels that are out of your range and area. I hope this is helpful to you.
A:AnswerAccording to the Radio Reference Database website, there are quite a few transmissions in Stark County, Ohio that can be picked up by the TRX-2. The same is true also specifically for Canton, and Canton Township.

A:AnswerYou need to program it you self and you can put what ever codes in it if you read the manual it is pretty much self explanatory. You can find the codes online.
