Robot Mop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The robot mop cleans ok. Not as good as a human, but does the job. I really like that you can use your own cloths or Swiffer cloths if you choose. I am satisfied so far with this purchase. My only complaint is that I purchased this product listed as Open Box Excellent, but it had clearly beed used and was missing batteries (which does not follow their description of Open Box Excellent).

good robot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this along with the roomba 650 to help with the floor cleaning in between the deep manual cleans. The Braava 380t did its job. The first day i ran it with the floor extremely dirty. I have two dogs and they get my laminate floors dirty with paw tracks and dog slobber. I didnt except this robot to completely clean up the high traffic soiled areas. It did clean it up pretty good though. It took about an hr for it to clean up a 500 sqft area. It did a great job at recognizing rugs. Overall im very happy with the purchase and its doing what i expected it to. The only thing that kept if from getting 5 stars is Irobot could improve the navigation system.

Cleans well, but the cube is annoying
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't like the roomba where it will map out your home. It uses cubes that project on your ceiling. This works fine for the room where you place the cube, but doesn't work well with one cube and multiple rooms. It holds enough water to clean half of a 1400 square foot apartment, but it only partially cleans two of three rooms. In the two smaller rooms it looses the signal from the cube which I place in the largest room. This should have been designed like the roombas or the Braava jet 240 where it doesn't require the cube and just simply maps out the rooms when cleaning. The Braava jet 240 doesn't hold enough water and doesn't use cloths as the 380t does. The cloths are a plus as you can use them, wash them, then reuse. The cloths are like common lint free clothes. They seem to be made of the same material. The mop doesn't try to go on carpet, so no worries there. The 380t is larger than the 240, so I suspect the 240 would clean in a few places in my apartment where the 380 doesn't fit, but it's only a couple places where the 380t doesn't clean. The larger size does give more room for a larger battery compared to the 240 thereby giving the 380 plenty of runtime. The 380t shouldn't entirely replace mopping. It should take care of your floors in between the times that you mop which it does well. If your hardwood/tile floors are small (300 square feet or smaller), I would recommend looking at the 240, but if your rooms are much larger as mine are, the 380t is the better one to go with even with having to deal with the cube since you won't have to keep adding water multiple times per cleaning. Of note: the 380t is manual start so it doesn't have scheduling capabilities and doesn't connect to any app. For some this may be a deal breaker, but since I have to fill it with water before each cleaning, I have to handle the 380t anyway, so it not having scheduling capabilities wasn't a problem for me. All of these mops will be much better when iRobot adds a built in water heater and full scheduling capabilities.

iRobot - Braava 380t is a great start
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first impression is the iRobot - Braava 380t is a great auto Swiffer. This isn't intended to say there is anything wrong with it in any way. But you have to keep in mind that there isn't any type of vacuuming actually happening. It simply uses a pad (you can actually use the Swiffer pads) and pushes the dirt around. It DOES indeed do a good job at this, but if you are looking for a vacuum, you'll need to look at another model. I'm pleased with the "mop" feature. You just change to the other pad and base, fill with water, and set it to go. This is still Swiffer style of mopping. The map system does do a fairly good job. After I rearranged the living room it took a little longer for it to re-learn the layout but it did get it done. My plan is to keep this for the "mop" feature and get a second model that will actually vacuum. Just haven't decided on what model fits our needs just yet. With what I know now after making the purchase, I would still purchase this again if I had it to do all over. 90% of our house is hard wood floors and this does a good job of the light work. We just set it to run at night and put it back on the charger in the morning. SUPER quite (due to no vacuum feature) The bump sensor works well. I haven't noticed it hit anything hard.

Worth buying
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially I was not sure if the Braava was worth the money - after all it is not a big deal to sweep and mop floor, but after using it for a couple of months I am sold on this little worker. The iRobot does it's job while I can relax and enjoy, and it does more thorough job than I would do. One cube covers 2 rooms and the hallway and it takes about 45 minutes to finish sweeping. Mopping takes longer, but it covers the same surface in one charge. My floors were never this clean and shiny. Why the 4 stars, then? 2 things could have been improved: 1. This unit is, basically, a computer and I believe the software keeps improving with time, but iRobot doesn't allow the software update. For such an expensive sweeper/mop a USB port could have been added to download the upgrades, or, better yet, OTA upgrades, like cell phones have. As it is, we soon are going to be stuck with an outdated model. 2. Only the lower part of the unit is padded for protection against hitting the furniture, but sometimes it is the upper part of the unit that hits a bottom of my low-standing desk, and it is not protected, so I am afraid it is going to break soon. Other than that - it is a nice little hardworking unit. If you like rest more than work - you are going to appreciate it.

I like my Braava
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like my Braava so much! I recomend this Irobot Braava. I use often! The only concern that I have is that some times, if you put him in a small places like bathroom he get stuck, but it is ok, no big deal!!! Oh, also, he did not clean if the dirt is stuck at the floor.

Cleans well, but a mop might be easier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this basically for the heck of it. It's fairly quick to set up, and then it's off! It actually does a decent job of mopping even large rooms, albeit at a slow pace (very slow). At the end of the day, it's a good option if you have the cash, but otherwise, a mop will be much, much faster.

Love, love this product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a working mom, this product has been a lifesaver. I wake up to clean floors with minimal effort. It's really quiet so I can run it at night when the household is asleep. I just use the Swiffer wet mop refills for ease of use.

Great for lazy light cleaning
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little cleaner for light mopping. I found it doesn't do much on the sweeping mode, just pushes the dust bunnies around. It's nice that it can use the swifter dust cloths. I'll probably stick with my rechargeable dyson for the sweeping part. Does a decent job of mopping my tile and wood floors. I just scrub up the tougher spots when it's done. Does a good job of going around the big pieces of furniture and our kitchen island. I had to move the counter stools and put up the kitchen chairs or it got confused and stuck. Very quiet. Even my hyper dog didn't seem bothered by it. He just kept an eye on it. I read mention of problems with vaulted ceiling, but we had no issues at all. Our wooden floor is under a 25 ft vaulted ceiling. Our tile floor is a combination of the vaulted ceiling and a regular 8-9 ft ceiling. I had no problems.

Works like a charm
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this primarily for mopping, as I have other Roombas that do the vacuuming duty. It works great as a mopper! It's nice to just press the button and come home to a clean home. While I haven't used it for sweeping, I previously had the MINT version and that worked great for both sweeping and mopping of hard floors. It is certainly a good lower cost option to a full blown robotic vacuum cleaner. You get the occasional dust tumbleweeds, but for 1/4 the price...probably worth the minor difference in cleaning quality. Using the Swiffer attachments is the better way to go, rather than using the included clothes. I'd recommend buying the version with the reservoir...its worth the extra money, as I think it does a better job of mopping.

Arguable Life Changer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Going into the purchase I was slightly skeptical as to how effective it would be. I wasn't sure how the little robot could effectively mop a large area with such a small water supply and footprint, but I knew it would be a cool thing to show to friends. I came to find, however, I love this thing! It methodically cleans my hard floors by going back and forth and left to right. Not only that, it maintains water levels for the entire cleaning session and is dead quiet. If I HAD to identify any weaknesses, it's that it doesn't completely track a room like many vac robots can do. It uses a wireless cube to define its cleaning area. It does make it very easy to control however. If you are thinking about this purchase and hate mopping floors, just stop and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

We Named it "Chappie" and he is loved...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best thing ever!!! We brought it home and named it "Chappie" mainly because it is one SMART Little Robot... we have lots of furniture (just moved into our new Apt) and it has all hardwood floors. We just put a pad on him when we leave and change it when we get back... once in a while he may get stuck under something but not often and despite what the box says - you CAN use swiffer pads with it and it works just fine... The mopping function is great and we have used an oil / soap combination and he does a great job... Do make sure the floors are clear and try to get any wires or cables off the ground if you want those areas cleaned... other than that, he has save us hundreds on getting a house keeper to do this for us... Chappie is loved... Oh.. and he is pet friendly, our 2 little chihuahua's "Darth Vader and Chewbacca" just leave him alone to do his thing because he is very quiet when operating...

Couldn't hang
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So sorry, but this lil guy had a tough time with this big ol house with lots of wood floors! Kept getting stuck under the couches and disoriented in the living room where it kept going over and over the same place and never did more than a 3' area square (somewhat) really didn't do that good of a job even then. I had to vacuum first then ended up with a Swiffer and floor cleaner. Not worth it and still looking for something, but guess there's nothing like good ol American exercise and doing it with a Swiffer & vacuum.

SUPER quiet floor duster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this! It's super quiet, does a good job on hardwood floors. It is not a "vacuum" so it does not pick up the dust/dirt but it does go around the floor and collect it so I just have to lean down to pick up the dirt with a dust pan

Great for this furry family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a few babies, the four legged kind, and this makes life a bit less furry. We have had it a week and it has done an amazing job of keeping the house clean!! It can use regular microfiber cloths, so don't feel like you have to buy the brand version, although they work REALLY WELL. We ran the mopping function for the first time today and I'm really happy with this. I love it so much I'll probably buy one for the parents. They aren't super techie, but this is so easy to use!! It's currently cleaning the floor before I go to sleep, it's whisper quiet. BUY THIS ROBOT!!

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It mops, I sit! Love this. I have a roomba and love it. I was a bit concerned about the cloth staying wet enough during the mopping process but the little wicking thing works just fine. We have lots of tile floor and 2 large dogs and I always had paw prints. This works great and is so quiet and the GPS guides it perfectly.

Great Mop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Work silently and very efficient. Don’t talk back and understand the task to be completed. Water capacity it alittle light but uses the amount superbly. Scares the crap out of our English bulldog and is an enjoyment to watch. Pet friendly. I do wish it had an app to automatically run the device during evening hours when no one is walking around. Outside of those issues I would definitely recommend.
