I purchased this iron in May 2014. I worked fine for about two months, then it began to leak water to the point that we had to quit using it. Also, the steam button will no longer retract. Best Buy has a 15 day return policy and couldn't help me so I called Shark about a repair or replacement. The service rep said that they could sell me another iron at a "discounted price". I reminded him that the iron has a 12 month manufactures warranty. He said that a discounted price was the cheapest route since it would cost me more to mail it back to them and then pay another $12.95 in return shipping. Bottom line, my wife bought another iron yesterday (not a Shark) and it looks like this one is going in the trash. In hindsight, the iron cost me $25 per month. I should have saved the $50 and sent my shirts out to be laundered.

Nice iron, is a larger size, heavier which I find useful for the things I use this on. Heats up quickly, does a nice job steaming.

I think many of the glowing reviews here are shill reviews, because this iron is a piece of junk. When I checked the reviews at another popular shopping site, they confirmed what I experienced. This iron worked fine for the first three days then it started spitting water on my clothes while ironing. Then it started getting loud - every time I set it upright it makes this loud gurgling noise and cycled on/off every few seconds. It's being returned this week.

Excellent iron. Just don't leave water inside after ironing. Begins to like out rust.

The iron works well and has good features, such as auto use detection. This model which replaced one I broke does not warm up as quickly as the last model.

I have used this item and it is outstanding. Overall worth every penny.

The steam button gets stuck after just a couple of uses. Anyone who says it doesn't is a liar. I have returned and repurchased this iron 4 times and all the steam buttons get stuck after just a couple of uses. Read REAL reviews on this product and you will see it is a common problem

I purchase this iron replacing my Shark iron i had for 5 years thinking I'll go back with Shark because the last one worked excellence. Boy was I wrong, the first iron i purchased started leaking after a few months so i returned it thinking maybe i got a lemon. Then the same thing happened with the second iron after a few months. Extremely disappointed.

This is my second Shark iron in 3 months. The same problem happened both times where the iron would start leaking water and it would stop heating up. Overall, there is nothing ultimate or professional about this product.
