I am a Disabled Vet in a wheelchair, I have several Vacuums from IRobot's to a Red Devil. but this has all I am looking for in a vacuum, light weight and small enough to carry around to get where the problem is without frightening the lil dogs and cat. The tools give the power to take on big jobs when I need too!! So far it has been a privilege to limber it up and get the work done (and to think, "No chords to be confined too!!" The best money I have spent, thank-you BestBuy for being there for what I needed!

Like it very much light weight makes it quick and easy to use, But the Big Down Fall of the Stick is the battery which is not removable and does not last very long before it needs to be charged should have a removable and should come with 2 battery's.

Absolutely love the vacuum. Has a lot of power very happy with this product.

The Dyson - V6 Absolute is a very accomplished portable vacuum cleaner. I've mostly used the "fluffy" roller, and it does do a great job on hardwood and tile floors -- much better than my previous cleaners. The system is extremely light too. It's no problem to take it upstairs, downstairs, or even out to the car for a quick cleanup. The main knock is the short run time. Particularly when using it in "max" power mode, I'm often out of power before I know it. There's also no drop-off in suction as the power starts to run low -- it just shuts off completely when it's time to recharge.

After doing extensive research on vacuum cleaner, I have decided to go with this cordless Dyson Absolute. It's worth every penny. Not only it's light weight and easy to use, but it's powerful. Easy to clean. The only draw back is you can only use about 20 minutes before charging the battery again.

This was a Mother’s Day gift which happens to be tomorrow. I was very disappointed that the box arrived damaged. But I was angry when I realized it was shipped from Best Buy already damaged. How do I know? Because there is Best Buy printed inspection tape all over the damaged area of the box. Unacceptable! And even more angry when customer service said they could not replace it at this time, my only choice was to return. Ridiculous.

Pros: Has all the attachments without the hassle of picking and choosing which model to get and then which attachments to buy later on. Cordless; Easy to clean; Very portable. Cons: Think a swap-able battery pack would be a nice feature as in a continuous high power mode, the battery only last 6 minutes; 20 minutes in normal operation. So if you have a large house and you like to take your time on carpet and floors, you might want to look at something else.

This vacuum is great it cleans my carpets very well and I can’t believe how light it is. Another great feature is that the vacuum goes so low I can get all the way under my couches. The only down fall is the battery only last 16 minutes but maybe it’s not a downfall because now I only have to clean for 16 minutes ( haha). And I like all the attachments for the hardwood floors and carpet.

It is a Dyson! I have used an old one of these before and they still pick up stuff that many new vacuums don't... even when you are doing a price point comparison. I have been eyeballing the canister version for a while, however, I just moved to the SF Bay Area into a ity-bity living space (miss you Robin Williams!!!). The Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless... absolutely no disappointments with its function/capabilities vs the canister or uprights versions. The direct drive head doesn't have the same spring articulated mechanism as the uprights... but that is ok... it will suck it up anyways. Not quite as allergy friendly as the uprights either. When I use it my air cleaner kicks on to a faster speed because it detects the increased dust in the air. The Dyson Animal I used while I had the same air cleaner didn't seem to set it off. Not quite as balanced as described with any of the powered/turbine heads attached. However, with the brush and crevice tools attached, it is much closer to being balanced. The brushed motorhead works well on carpet and hard floors. Be careful on runners and loose rugs/etc as, mentioned previously, this thing will suck anything up including them. The "fluffy" motorhead works great on hard floors, I however don't use it as much since I have fluffy animals which makes the "fluffy" head something else to get pet hair out of. The reason for the sans one star is because all of the accessories it comes with doesn't neatly store onto the storage bracket it comes with. This neat and tidy looking thing, sadly leaves me wanting when it comes to putting it away after cleaning my house. The other reason is the canister... pet hair and dust/dirt gets sucks in places that are hard to clean out and will start to make this look like it is out of some 80s scifi movie. Quick pros and cons... Pros: It sucks... up everything! (even w/o pushing the "MAX" button) Lightweight... and balanced enough to not be too awkward to use overhead Battery lasts long enough to get through a 700sq ft apartment with long haired animals Less bulky/awkward than the uprights, I can get under furniture where the Uprights can't Did I mention it sucks up everything? Cons: Around the same price as its corded, slightly more capable siblings Storage caddy doesn't store everything... or even half of everything it comes with Canister is hard to clean (and a tad small) Power cord is shorter than desired Not as allergy friendly (but really not that bad either) My last two cents on the matter... if you don't have storage space because you live in tight quarters, this is awesome (aside from the clutter of accessories). If you have the room to store an upright but don't want the bulk of the ball/canister for tighter places to clean, get the canister. If allergens are a huge concern, they have allergy friendly versions but I think their upright or canister versions would probably do you just fine.

I have only had the Dyson Absolute for about 3 months, but this vacuum has made staying clean around my place very convenient! I live in a one bedroom apartment with my 4 month old lab puppy (whom sheds like crazy!) or at least I didn't notice how much she shed until I saw just how much hair my Dyson picked up every other day! Before the Dyson Absolute, I had a vacuum that was decent, but rather bulky and cumbersome. Not to mention, the whole reason I bought this new Dyson vacuum was because my puppy chewed through the cord of my old vacuum. The best part about this vacuum is the cordless feature which really offers you boundless cleaning range. Even though it is cordless, this thing still has incredible power that lasts all the way through the battery life. The only criticism I would bring up for this vacuum is that it only sustains power for a max of 20 mins of constant usage. Other than that, I have been so happy with this purchase. Worth spending the extra buck!

Believe the hype. This thing is great. The vacuum is super light, is easy to maneuver, is easy to empty after use, and has some amazing suction. The 16 minute run time (6 minutes on MAX) has not been a problem with my 700 sq foot apartment.

This vacuum performs exactly as every review presents it... Great suction, portability, and cleaning ability. Battery life isn't awesome, but we've been getting a little better run time than expected. The high suction setting really brings usage time down, but in normal mode, we can get two to three big rooms done at a time. Dust bin fills up really fast, but I suppose that means it's working well... Haven't had anything break on it, so good durability. The filter does seem to collect a lot of dust and hair and it is pretty tough to clean it as other reviewers have stated, but it's not hard to stick something in there to pull the coated dust off... All in all, I feel it's worth the high price...

I have hardwood floors on the main level, carpet on the stairs and upper level, and a houseful of pets -- dog, cats, birds. Bought the Dyson Absolute for its versatility and portability and have been thanking myself ever since. I use it for quick jobs and for weekly vacuuming. It's lightweight, powerful, and a lot less noisy than I expected. Gave my heavy workhorse Riccar and lightweight stick Electrolux to my daughter; I just don't need them anymore -- and it's so nice not to lug that heavy upright up and down the stairs.

It's expensive, but intended to replace your hardwood/barefloors cleaners, your normal-carpet vacuum, and your handheld cordless vacuum. The result is impressive, but it's not the end all of vacuum cleaners. Works well with limited area to clean, even if you have animals. It is great that it is cordless and the unit weighs little and is well balanced. The lack of a trigger lock is annoying. The more powerful turbo mode depletes the battery but works much better. Overall, it works, but there are days I wished I had stayed with my previous Dyson corded model.

I love the ease of interchanging the different attachments and emptying the bin where the dirt collects. The only thing that could be considered a drawback is that it works so well and picks up so much so quickly, it requires frequent emptying (could be considered a hassle, but on the other hand, it really does the job!). Also, it does generally require recharging at least once to get all of the floors done (some carpet, some hardwood and tile). Also, I love that it doesn't take up much room to store.

The Dyson V6 Absolute is the best vacuum I have come across. It is lite weight with powerful suction, easy to clean and assembled. Best of all now it has 2 different motorized pieces specific for carpet and hardwood floor. The extra accessories also come in handy. My only complaint is the battery lasts about 12 minutes only on each run. However the lite weight and efficiency shortens my routine vacuum time tremendously. This is the latest new model, hence price is way up there, but I still think it worths owning it for its high efficiency.

I’ve drooled over owning my own Dyson ever since they were released onto the market. The portability and convenience of the V6 Absolute is exactly what I was looking for and has proven very effective considering my domicile is <1000 sq feet. While the battery life is fairly short, I would like to note two points. 1: Dyson is very clear about the length of the battery charge. 2: The power of this handheld is incredible given its size and portability.

Got a great sale price & used coupons & rewards to score a good deal on this pricey vacuum. We have a 2 BR apartment with rugs and hardwood floor, the variety of attachments is perfect for the rugs. And you can't beat the convenience of no cord. Some of our rugs are deep enough that the rug attachment works best, others are short and are best cleaned by the soft roller than is meant for floors. All around, a great lightweight vacuum that can even be used as a small hand vac to replace a DustBuster.

Very lightweight and powerful enough as a rechargeable cordless. Does an excellent job on hardwood floors with the specialty head the Absolute purple/nickel/red one comes with. No, this will not replace a standard plugged full size vacuum and it's not supposed to. Anyone who tries to vacuum rooms for 20-30 minutes with it is only going to frustrate themselves. Great wall mount recharging station. Only complaint is the cleanable filter cone on top is held in by suction when the vacuum is running so it can fall out if you turn it over when the power is off.

I love this vacuum stick. It makes vacuuming so easy. It's very light. Gets under furniture. Great in corners. Easy to rotate. Since I have 3 dogs this makes my housework fun and an easy chore. The one downside is that at full power it lasts 12 1/2 minutes. The upside is that you get vacuuming done very quickly. It charges quickly. I'm very happy with this product.
