The Dyson name is worth every penny

Our first was purchased 8 years ago when we adopted a husky and needed something that could take on the sea of fur! Well that vacuum is still going strong but we wanted to add something quick and easy to our collection - the v6 animal does not disappoint! Love having it for everyday use - for a rechargeable, it's very powerful!

Gave one to my daughter-in-law previous Christmas and they use it every day as does my daughter! I have had one for a long time and need to upgrade to the longer battery charge but still use it almost daily ~ great for the cat hair and anything else on the floor!

Good, but...

In less than 6-months of use, the battery died. There is a large after-market accessories market, offering batteries with better lives (use-wise and longevity). I am considering giving one of those a shot, as I am not pleased with the OEM battery pack.
