Bought this because it's highly rated on Consumers Reports for reliability and its held up well. Has great suction and lots of different set-up options for how to use it.

This thing is amazing! I have four dogs and a cat, and the amount of dirt and hair this vacuum gets up is incredible. It's a bit heavy, but it's worth the workout.

This vacuum can clean in a variety of ways with several interchangeable wands and attachments. That said, it is a bit complicated to do all the transformations. It's not for someone who just wants something simple. It picks up the dirt well in all configurations that I've tested so far. Just a few things that seem out of sorts. The electrical cord management is somewhat difficult. It always seems I'm having to hold it away from the vacuum. Needs to be a clip at the handle. The mini powered roller has a pivoting head so you can get to the rising side of a step on a staircase but it doesn't lock and is very tight so although a good idea, it really doesn't work. The caddy that transforms the unit to a canister has a holder for the main floor attachment of the vacuum that does not hold the attachment. Aside from these things, the quality is there and the performance is there. Overall, it's a good vacuum with some minor design flaws.

Excellent product. Rollers are powerful and pull the vacuum. Vacuumed with our current canister and followed it with the shark and picked up a lot of dust particles from the rug. Both my current canister and this one were recommended units on consumer reports. Wife liked it so much that we actually bought a second unit to have one on each floor. Pros: strong suction, low profile for furniture, convertible. Cons: attachments and base for canister mode are not attached to unit when not in use (though they come with a storage bag), small capacity waste container, cord does not retract.

You will not be disappointed if you purchase this product, it reaches places most other vacuums cannot, very powerful, it is a little heavy but easy to maneuver, does a great job.

This vacuum is very easy to pull around, not at all bulky. I've only had it a few weeks, but seems to clean very well. I've used various brands of cleaners and was surprised at the dirt my other cleaners were leaving behind.

My wife and I have owned Dyson products up to now. After buying this model Shark vacuum we won't go back to Dyson. It's less expensive and better! No Brainer!

The vacuum has the most powerful suction I have encountered. You name I tested it. We got this to replace a worn Electrolux. We wanted a canister vac and this optioned as one. IMO it is better suited as an upright. It doesn't roll too great on the cheap canister base and the hose is not too long. The powered wheels make it easy for my wife or kids to run it, it's actually so strong it can be hard for the 6 and 7 year old to pull back. The tools are great. The power button is weak, we had to take the first one back as the button stopped working. I seem pretty negative but I do love the suction, the large dirt canister, the allergy perfection (whole family allergies), and the power wheels. My downs are no cord wrap if left as a cannister, weak base, and the fact I will worry the power button will break again. That said Best Buy is awesome and their warranties are in the league with Costco and Sam's Club, meaning awesome. I would rate 4.5 but it wouldn't let me.

Crazy amount of suction! Great on bare floors, you can see the hair being drawn to the vacuum. A little heavy but with the floor carriage attachment it's light as a feather.

The Shark is one of the easiest vacuums that I have ever used. I love the extras and the XL Capacity. The first time I used it I couldn't believe all the dirt and pet hair that I had gotten out of my carpet. I tell everyone about it and have even recommended it to my clients.

This vacuum does really well in picking up hair and dog hair. It picks it up so well, that before I am done vacuuming, I need to clean all the hair off of the beater brush. I like that it is bagless - no more spending money on bags or running out of bags before you are done vacuuming! I wish the hose was longer though; you basically need the vacuum with in 2 feet or less of what you are vacuuming because when you stretch the hose out to reach in places, it causes the vacuum to tip over. This might be because it's new and doesn't stretch as well; maybe with use the hose will stretch out better. Also, I wish there was a floor level switch to raise or lower the height. I find that when vacuuming un-carpeted floors that it doesn't pick up dirt as well. The floor attachment does much better with picking up the dirt on floors, but it is kind of a pain to switch back and forth (my downstairs living areas has all floors with area throw carpets); I think if there was a height level switch, this would help fix this issue without having to switch back and forth to the floor attachment. These things are minor little things, but is the reason why I didn't give it a 5 star rating. Overall though I feel it is a good vacuum.

I have only owned this for a couple weeks, but I do love how quiet it is. My kid was so afraid to use this but when she finally turned it on, even she liked it. The suction seems to be good and takes care of the messes I have. I would recommend it for use on carpet.

I bought this on sale during a sale for a good price and it is a very nicely designed machine and good quality. I had a dyson before and this is much better. Definately would get another shark based on my experience. Cleans very well and keeps the dust in— it changes from upright to canister esily and the attatchments work well. Had it for a couple months and cleaned with it 6 or 7 times maybe. My only crisicism so far is I wish the power cord autimatically retracted or spooled into the machine instead of having to be manually wrapped up.

As an older couple, we find the self-propel feature is very powerful - almost too strong for me as it tugs on my shoulder. Other than that, I find the vacuum does a superb job and has great suction and like the convenience of the lift-off canister.

Very powerful. The option to use as an upright or as a canister is a wonderful option. It's easy to use and the multiple attachments make it very versatile.

I love my vacuum It's really strong enough With Long to cort and I like that I'm able to use it for 3 Different Way like for stairs higher or lower level

Very pleased with the suction power and ease of use with the Shark lift away vacuum. I can easily get under furniture and vacuum stairs.

It is powerful, easy to use, has a nice bright light, and is very maneuverable and easy to empty / clean

I have owned this vacuum for about 2 months and used several times. It outperforms the central vacuum system we have by a long shot. After vacuuming with the central vacuum, I vacuumed again with this vacuum. It picked up so much dust and pet hair that was leftover after the first pass. I also like the swivel, light, and easy access canister. It is louder than I would like, but not too unbearable. I can live with the noise in exchange for the amount of dirt it picks up. Love all the extra tools to use for various vacuuming needs.

Until you get a serious vacuum, you don't realize how bad your previous vacuum was. Attachments for every surface, has done wonders for my allergies.
