I drink a lot of smoothies and the Ninja blenders make them high volume and they all have the consistency of malts. I also use it to make soups and chop vegetables for salads and stews. The only reason I replaced the last one is because I wore out both cups and the price was right on the new one.

Just not getting it done
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our inexpensive blender just would not crush ice or blend smoothies that well. Also, required constant shake downs and manual intervention. Was hoping this was the answer. It's not. After just a couple uses, it's not living up to expectation. Tried making hummus with chickpeas... Just stuck to the walls and didn't get it done. The food processor component does pretty good on ice. Not sure if that's what's it's for. Concerned we'll damage the blades. Saw an infomercial for the Nutri-Blender Duo with 'total crushing blender' attachment. Seems like that is really what we wanted. Too late. Box gone and we'll see how we can do with this over time. Seems plenty powerful. The components are also quality feeling pieces.

I really like the Stainless Steel Cup. The smooth boost is great for my strawberry shakes, it really breaks down the fruits seed and Chia seeds.
