Noticeable upgrade from older iPads. Screen is larger and camera quality is better (front facing camera is also now at top of screen when in landscape mode, and side of screen when in portrait). I upgraded from a generation 6 iPad so this one has been much faster and smoother in its load times. This one does have a USB C charger which means you cannot use your old iPhone lightning chargers anymore, however, speed of charging is unaffected by this change in port. New design seems durable but I always buy a screen protector and case as soon as I buy an iPhone or iPad. Screen protectors are worth it! Its a big screen so better odds of getting a scratch.

Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of Apple because of the price. I'm impressed to see them make several versions that allow the less-rich ppl like myself to consider a purchase. Oh; and I also recently purchased an iphone (1 yr ago) and I'm not getting paid for this review. If Samsung phones weren't the same size of this ipad when I needed 5G then I would of went with them. It is really great tablet with a nice screen, a goof speaker and modern design looks like lastest ipad air. The price is cheap.

I traded in my gen 9 iPad for this gen 10. The upgrades are small, but significant enough for me to make the trade. The screen is slightly larger. The chip is slightly faster. The tired old lightening plug and the home button are gone. It still came with a USB-C charger and cable. Of note, I mostly use my iPad for email, messages, and web browsing…nothing very taxing for the device.
