Hard for me to get excited about a vacuum .... but this comes close. Needed a vacuum mostly for LVT floors. and it works really well. Most of the time, I do not need the dust away attachment. It works best on fine particles, Switching between carpet and bare floor is a breeze,

Over the past 12+ years we've gone through 3 Dysons and 2 of the cheap $70-90 range vacuums. The first Dyson was decent and lasted us about 6 years. The 2 subsequent Dysons lasted less than a year each, and the cheap vacuums pretty much didn't last beyond their disposable bags. We've had this Shark for several months now, and it works amazingly well, and looks and runs like new. There is a foam filter that needs to be cleaned every couple of weeks, but the instructions cover that well. And all of this at about half the price of the comparable Dyson model.

It’s a great vacuum and works as intended. Can feel a little a heavy when carrying the canister after few minutes.

Great vacuum with a lot of power/suction. Great for household with pets. My only complaint is that the vacuum falls over almost every time we try to use the hose. The hose is long, but when it's turned on and there is a lot of suction it doesn't stretch well and the vacuum falls unless you hold it the whole time you are using it.

Very light weight and maneuverable on carpet. Picks up dog hair like a champ...but, plastic rollers on wood floor attachment are not ideal.

We previously had a Dyson, which I found over priced, hard on the back and didn't stand up to it's claims. We love the Shark because it's much easier to use, but this particular vacuum has started to shock me when I use it not long after buying it. Our last Shark didn't do that, so I'm hoping it's just a defect.

Glides easily, great suction, easy to empty but little too heavy for me lift.

Seriously, best vacuum ever. I'm not paying all that $ for a Dyson. No point! It's quiet, light, portable, can take of the canister and go up stairs. The only thing I would change for future models, is a wider head so you can do more floor and a cord rewind. Then it would be perfect.

This is my second Shark vacuum. I had the other one for 7 years and felt it did a better job than my much more expensive Dyson.

Cleans exceptionally well. Only downfall is the hose is too short.

It holds up well and can handle heavy duty usage. I would recommend to anyone.

The vacuum is not great. For what we paid I expect a lot more than turn dial on the shaft to control the vacuum suckage, rather than a raising and lowering of the spinning brushes in the vacuum apparatus. I did not see this stated in the product info. To do wood floors you need to change the entire vacuum bottom. And use a swiffer like covering. The separate wood floor attachment is large and not something easily stored. I wish I had gone in person to the store to check this vacuum out.

This vacuum shows you what youre old belt drive does wrong.

Maybe ours was built on a Monday. Bought this to replace a Panasonic (bag) vacuum. Wanted the ease of not having a bag to replace and our machine was getting old. This Shark does not have much suction. We have a longer haired dog and a short haired dog as well. Both shed. The Shark does not vacuum the dog hair as well as our Panasonic did. We have tile floors with area rugs and you can easily inspect the rugs after vacuuming - a LOT of hair is left. Also, the hose connecting the brushes to the tank is not straight, somewhat narrow and clogs easily - again reducing suction. Additionally, this machine is not very wide - takes additional runs back and forth to cover the same area a traditional vacuum would.
