I've been using the Harmony Hub (not included) and basic remote for years now. I have 3 of them. I like the basic remote because you can drop it and it doesn't break and the battery can last up to a year. The remote screen is a nice size but is too low resolution for my taste. If you're use to looking an an iPhone X OLED screen, the pixel density leaves a lot to be desired but is still decent. I decided to give this remote a shot since I wanted to add several more tvs to the same room for the NCAA March Madness etc. This remote also gives you the ability to add more devices and activities compared to the basic remote which is limited to 6 or so. Pros: The big winner on this remote is the built-in IR blaster. In my current setup, my LG SK9Y wasn't picking up on the IR signal and I didn't want a blaster visible since they are so big and clunky looking compared to professional options. I also wanted to control 2 additional Samsung TVs in the same room and needed to place the 2 on the back side of my tv cabinet on the extreme edges of the stand. The biggest challenge is that the Harmony Hub only has 2 IR blaster outputs where professional options have 8 or more. Having the dedicated IR blaster on the remote makes my setup possible. The other great thing about this remote is the bottom 4 buttons to control my Philips Hue lights. I am still learning my options here and think Logitech could make the integretion for scenes easier to change. I do love being able to turn on off my lights without having to use my phone. Cons: Logitech needs to work with TV companies like Samsung / LG to control these tvs via bluetooth. It would make the process so much more seamless. I love my LG remote that has the motion / wand action. If they could add the sensors to next gen, it would be killer. It makes using the built in web browser a pleasure to use. Lastly, I hope they increase the pixel density to the screen and add more IR ports on the hub. I realize this is a consumer product and it will work great for the masses. If you're looking to do do something outside the box, hope this review helps.

This remote is Awesome! I am able to control several devices like my: 1. DISH Network Hopper with Sling DVR, 2. Yamaha Aventage RX-A1070 3. OPPO UDP-205 and OPPO UDP-203 4.LG OLED65E6P 5.Samsung UN65JS8500 6. SAMSUNG UBD-K8500 7. SAMSUNG UN55JS7000 8. SAMSUNG LN52A650 9.Roku 4K 10. Sharp Aquos 60 inch tv 11. DISH NETWORK SUPER Joey 12. SONY PS4 This remote is awesome and much better then the Harmony hub that I first tried out as it was a cheaper alternative to the 950 but with voice control which failed with my Google Home and i don't own the Amazon Echo to try it out with the Harmony Hub. Anyways if you are looking to releave your 8+ remotes in your home then this is the device for you! However keep in mind that the PS4 is NOT compatible with the Harmony 950 as it is only compatible with bluetooth remotes. The 950 is IR. The only thing I don't like about this remote is that the program to set up the hamony 950 forced me to count my PS4 as one of the 15 devices in order to create a task for my tv and A/V receiver to turn on my tv and set my receiver to input AV2. I also wish that the buttons were lit brighter than they are, they are too dim for me even to see at night but it's not a deal breaker. Other then that I highly recommend this Harmony 950, it's the same remote as the elite but with out the hub which also comes with 1 IR blaster if you buy it alone or with 2 IR Blasters if you get it as the Elite package.

I started having a collection of remotes in my living room. About 6 to be exact. It became confusing to turn on the TV for my wife. I researched lots of remotes and this one seemed to have everything you could need to eliminate the clutter. IT WORKED GREAT!!! I put all the remotes in a drawer and not just have one remote. This looks awesome as well. It has a nice charging stand and very simple user interface. Installation is easy, but you need a laptop to make it efficient. I highly recommend this for home theaters and wives that love tv.

Easy to use even for the non geeky. That being said if you’re one of those like me, I do advise having it demonstrated by the Geek Squad or someone familiar with tech savvy products. Once you get the hang of it you’ll love it!

Gotta say I have owned many not only Harmony but other universal remotes in the past, but this Harmony Elite is the best one by far. From the quick response, buttery smooth controls and excellent feel makes it a perfect companion for your smart home. I upgraded from the Ultimate Home version it's definitely an upgrade. I definitely recommend, specially with the Harmony Hub.

This is my 6th Harmony remote, they all work well from the $40 one to the Harmony One and this 950. They are EZ to set up and if there is an issue it's quick to fix. This 950 does have a keypad on the touch screen a bit of a pain but the size of this remote is smaller then all the others I own. It would have gotten a 5 star review but the battery is not replaceable as all the others. Don't think these batteries from China will last, meaning a new remote before it's time. My oldest remote that the 950 is replacing is 15 years old+.

The remote definitely improved my situation and connecting the various sources was relatively easy. This remote requires the hub in order to work, which is ‘meh’. The battery charger takes quite awhile, and I’d expect a longer battery life span then the one it provides.

The remote can do a lot. However, it is clumsy to use. Logitech's recent remotes are not very hand friendly. The 950 is better than the Harmony Ultimate One I have with less accidently touching of the touch screen when reaching for the play, pause ect.. buttons. I wish there was another company similar to Logitech that I would buy but there isn't. Logitech is easy to program on their app and so you do not have to have someone program for you like you have to with the URC remotes. When Logitech took away the numerically buttons and added them to the touch screen that just made the remote that more clumsy and useless. The best remote Logitech had was the Harmony One +. Now that was a remote that was great. But they decided to go backwards and make junk. Anyway it does helps remove some remotes from your collection but you will have to keep the close by because sometimes it is just easy to use the equipment's remotes then the Logitech remotes on certain occasions…. most occasions. I recommended only because there are very few alternatives out there.

    Universal Remote For Dummies

I could kick myself for not buying this remote sooner. It’s a dream of every technology challenged individual to find a remote that doesn’t require a PhD to operate. I love this remote. It’s very easy to use; the functions are easy to read. You don’t have to press hard, or point it directly at the TV for it to work. A minor downside for me is that I have to use a stylus to press the numbers that change the channel. Probably something to do with having long nails — I use a stylus for all my electronic devices so it works for me. Best remote I ever owned.

This remote does everything I need, and easily. Setup up was quick and smooth. I use it to control TV, DVR, Apple TV and home theater, it works seamlessly with all of these devices. Having owned several "budget" universal remotes over the years, I was skeptical about the price vs. value. I can say you get what you pay for, this is the most hassle-free remote I have ever used. The only downside is the battery life. On the plus side, it is rechargeable. On the down side, if you forget to charge it overnight or while at work, you'll have to wait to use it until charged. My unit has to be charged every 1 1/2 days. That's just slightly better battery life than my iPhone 6. Not a deal-breaker, but it can be a drag.

For some reason, my wife was confused with having 6 remotes for the home theatre system, so after looking at many remotes, I went with this one. Super easy to program, works very well. With single button, powers on and selects proper outputs / inputs for all devices including wii and Apple TV. Only complaint is I wish it had a tactile page down button. There is one on the touch screen, but it's something I use frequently. Overall very good, but a bit expensive. A small price to pay for no longer getting phone calls at work when my wife has a day off and wants to watch tv!

    Original Harmony One was Better

My original Harmony One was the best remote ever, used it for 10 years.. The screen got damaged and was too expensive to repair. I needed an IR remote due to my setup. TV is in the family room and all components are in a closet down the hall. I use a separate IR relay transmitter and IR receiver. My receiver, dvd player, and cable box all use an IR jack input which is connected to the IR box. My roku uses the IR led cable. The harmony 950 is ok. The button layout is not as convenient as the One, both are backlit which is nice. The 950 has 4x the favorite channel screen icons, When pressing screen icons for channels they don't always transmit the 3 digits my cable box uses. Sometimes they skip one.The One had individual number buttons for channels, the 950 has screen buttons. The individual buttons are better. With the 950 you need to keep flipping thru screens to access different buttons. The 950 is just average in my opinion. It was the best alternative replacement I could find. I wished Logitech still made the One, I would have bought it again.

I previously owned an older harmony one which I used for a number of year until my dog chewed it up. I decided to give this remote a shot. Setup is easy with the software for this remote. After using their remote for a few months the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is due to difficulty entering direct channels with the touch screen number pad.

    Nice looking and upgradable

This is a very nice looking replacement for an older Harmony 650. It is upgradable to use with a hub that allows hiding your equipment in cabinets. It can use IR or RF, depending on need and whether you are using the hub. This remote is also sold as a bundle with the hub, but the cost is the same whether you buy them together or separately. I only bought the remote because I already owned an IR repeater for in-cabinet placement. That is probably a less expensive option if you can run a single wire and follow instructions. I only have a couple of complaints. It can be tricky to program certain features on more complicated A/V setups (HDMI ARC and devices that also control each other). And Logitech's preferred programming method involves installing an application on your computer and syncing via a USB cable. That said, once I had it set up properly I was able to program a few special functions to extra buttons. Logitech's telephone technical support was competent and patient. My other issue is that as pretty as the "glass cockpit" is, the touchscreen is not sensitive enough to accept taps reliably, and the virtual buttons are a bit small. If you have problems typing on an iPhone (be honest, now...), then you may have a steeper learning curve than you would want. The tactile buttons all seem to function well. Overall I'm satisfied, but I can't give it 5 stars without better touchscreen function.

I have had my Harmony Universal Remote for about a week and really like it. I have the one that has a screen you can read and see what you are doing. It is a wonderful device that i really enjoy. I find its features quite remarkable. For example, hearing is declining and being able to pull up the subtitles function quickly and easily is fantastic. I actually paid the Geek Squad to help set it up and highly recommend that as well. My rep knew what worked well and what did not. For example, yes, I could increase the volume on my remote speakers with the Harmony Remote but it is much easier to use the volume control on the speaker box. the best advice he gave was it would take a week or so of playing with it tto get used to all the features. Overall, I would say the remote is excellent - don't waste your money on one that does not have the built-screen - you will not full realize the advantages of the universal remote. I would also add that the device is logical but not intuitive.

I had the harmony hub already in place before purchasing this remote. Setup was a breeze, I connected the new remote to my computer, all my activities and devices synced automatically and the remote was good to go. The remote is beautiful and comes with a nice charging base. My only complaint is the touch screen is not the most responsive, sometimes things require multiple "taps" to register. Otherwise the remote & harmony system are a must have for anyone with multiple devices.

Where do I start? Well, it’s a remote, which for some reason has a touchscreen. Okay, fine. Problem is that at least once a week, selecting an activity to power on the appropriate devices just doesn’t do anything. I set the haptic response so I know it’s reading the press...it just doesn’t work. So I’ll have to just set the remote down for a moment, let the screen go to sleep, and try again. Then it’ll work. There’s also a very minimal, yet very annoying delay between button press and on-screen action. You get used to it though. Also, like anything with rechargeable batteries, you’re caught by surprise when you want to watch TV and the battery is low. I’m not one to put things on charge when I’m not using them, so I find it best to just make sure to charge it every other day or so, regardless of battery level. I give this remote a lot of credit though, it controls a lot of devices at once, and although there are glitches it does a pretty good job. I miss my Harmony 700 though, the 950 is high tech and fancy looking but seems to be a tiny step back in terms of functionality.

I had the harmony hub so I could use my phone and alexa to control my system but I like using this remote instead of my phone. I like how all my favorite channels are shown on the screen with the corresponding logo. I'm using it to control a sony tv, maranta receiver, roku premiere+, and a sony blue ray player.
