I think it is awesome. I think it cleans very well. I think it works very well for stairways and on the couch. I use it to clean the car. Only downside is not long enough battery power .

The dyson vaccum is the best removes lot of dust and makes the carpet and wooden floor clean and new.

I got this vacuum about a week ago to help clean a small apartment; most of it is laminated wood, and one room is carpeted (high, dense pile newly installed). I have two small dogs. One loves to tear toys and get the cotton stuffing all over the floor. This is a weekly occurrence. After charging for the first time (took full 4 hours to charge fully; and yes, you must charge it before using... I was hopeful it might finish charging in an hour or two, but it took all 4), I put on the motorized hard floor attachment and got to work. I used it in low power mode. The vacuum was doing a great job in low power mode, up until it came to the cotton stuffing and the pine needles from the Christmas tree. These items clogged the attachment, so I had to take off the attachment, clear the clog and loosen the debris from the roller. I then reattached it and tried to vacuum just the pine needles. The same thing occurred. The needles from the tree were just too much for it to handle with the motorized floor attachment. I ended up just sweeping up the needles. However, these were large amounts of needles directly under the tree -- it did just fine with the ones scattered here and there. Aside from those two things, which were kind of expected, it has been a phenomenal vacuum. It has had no issue sucking up things that drop on the high pile carpet, and it picks up so much incredibly fine dirt and dust. In fact, much of it looks even more fine than silt from a river. The motorized carpet attachment helps pull the vacuum forward (almost feels self propelled). Overall, it feels light enough to not cause it to feel uncomfortable, and seems to be the perfect height to maneuver it. Due to the design, it turns on a dime by simply twisting the hand to the left or the right. The only time I felt strain on my wrist is when I was using the base with the aluminum hose for vacuuming stuff above arm level because the aluminum tube is so long that it just creates that strain. However a simple disconnect of the aluminum tube alleviates that issue entirely, and cleaning high and low is back to being a pleasure -- just don't expect to get things too high without a step stool. The ease of having a powerful handy vacuum makes it a no-brainer and I would purchase it all over again, and fully recommend that everyone interested should give it a try. The 2x longer run time of the V8 Absolute is fantastic (considering the charge time for all models is just about 5 hours).

Love it! It does a fantastic job sucking up dirt and very light to move around. I'm glad I made the purchase.

i love this new vacuum we got for our new 2 story home both with attachments for hardwood and carpet floors. only wish battery charge lasts longer than 30 minute use. otherwise, great product!
