Read multiple reviews and articles on the top robotic vacuums before purchasing. Neato was continually in the top 2 best. Decided to go with the Neato over the roomba based on it’s features, suction, size of dust bin and mobile app for the price. I have hardwood floors with some runners; cleans the wood floor very well. It has little to no trouble over the rug / runners. It’s the first robotic vacuum we’ve ever owned and are very satisfied with it’s performance & easy to use app. We schedule it to vacuum at night 3 times a week to keep our living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway and sunroom clean.

This is an awesome robot vacuum. I love it and enjoying every minute with this device. It cleans like there is no tomorrow and the great thing about this product is, it gets more efficient with every cleaning run. The chart shows how efficiently it cleans by comparing the size of the floor cleaned to the time spent cleaning. Setting up a floor plan was easy, and with that, I was able to add no-go lines to keep the vacuum away from furnitures that it struggles to clean, so far, it has done several cleaning runs without getting stuck while completing the cleaning and returning to his dock with enough charge left. I can never demand more, I look forward to working with the vacuum for a long time. Completely recommend it without any reservation.

We have had our Robovac for about 2 months and we absolutely love love love it! She starts cleaning our hardwood floor in the living and dining room then our tile floor in the kitchen and then finishes up by cleaning our carpeted family room. It is so nice to come home to a clean home. She picks up everything and the edge sweeper is the best part of having a robovac, she even gets those dusty corners. We also take her to our 2nd floor carpeted bedrooms and she leaves beautiful vacuumed lines. Love the app as you can program the vac and or start or pause it as well. You also get notifications that she is doing cleaning. Our lower level is about 1800sq ft and she cleans in about 90min or so. Love that she can last even longer. Best gift ever!

I love this unit, replaced a 2012 Neato 80 that finally died and it’s night and day, between the app and it never getting stuck it does a great job keeping the house clean

This is the best vacuum cleaner robot available in market. Just like you I as confused between Roomba, Neato, Samsung and others. If you compare their reviews on multiple sites it becomes increasingly overwhelming and adds to your confusion. I did read CNET and consumer report reviews but I also asked a few friends and family for the review of the robots. Neato came at the top. I am happy with its vacuum capability, the time it takes to clean and efficiency. I love the way it covers the house. Now the downside - My 2 yr old is scared of it, lol. A black thing with a light on it moving around the house and making noises is fun for some toddlers and scary for others. She is taking her time to be friends with neato. On a serious note, the neato app is useless for me. I have been using it for over 6 months and the robot fails to operate though the app. It always shows the message 'Robot Offline' Even after reconfiguring the Wi-Fi per instructions a zillion times, the robot shows offline after a day or two of resetting. I also contacted Neato customer service and they were very nice with me. They also sent a replacement bot without a lot of questions. The new one I have is the same one. So maybe it is my internet and not the bot? But on the other side I have many other "smart" devices in my house and they don't give me such trouble. I don't depend on the app anymore and just use the button on the bot. I still love the unit as it does do its job very well.

I'm only on my 3rd running so far so it's is still "learning" the layout of the house. But it seems to be doing its job as expected. It is a little louder then I expected, but not louder then a reg vacuum. It may never do a perfect job but it will always have my floors looking tidy. It has gotten itself out of every tight spot it got into and only got tangled once on a phone charger that was laying in the floor.

This is worth the money. I researched the priduct for months before spend $$$. Its a lot of money. I hate wasting money. However, i hate swipe and vacumm a few times a week. I have hard wood floors through my house. Always dust, hair etc on the floor. Now I can run Mr. Clean (neato) three times a week. It works very well. I was so suprised. I have the app on my phone. It tells me when its finished. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Anything to make life little easier.

Would you like a butler to clean your house? This is by far the best NEato ever made. I bought the very first one over 10 years ago and loved it. I still have it. I love that I can tell Alexa To " ask Neato to start cleaning" And she does

Great vacuum when it works, product seems to be good for about a year and a half and then just locks up with errors. This seems to be the consensus after reading many other user experiences under similar circumstances. My vacuum was used once a week and sometimes every other week. The filter and brush were cleaned/replaced as needed, no abuse whatsoever. The flat rate for repairs seems to be in the two hundred dollar range so I think I’ll look for a new higher quality robot instead.

Overall:We bought this amazing robot vacuum a few weeks ago and I can’t tell you how much we love it! The installation was super easy and the app looks very nice. The app: very nice looking and useful app! It lets you look at the cleaning history (both duration and area size of every run as well as the averages). It lets you schedule runs for specific dates and times (you can set several different runs eg one for during the week and one for the weekend etc). It also tells you the battery % and status of your Neato and lets you start, pause and stop the cleaning process. All in all, I think the app is great but I do wish it would show you a map of where it cleaned and where it is at the Moment (while cleaning). However, as of right now, I believe there’s no vacuum robot that does this. Cleaning: Neato cleans so well! It has no problem going from our dark hardwood floor, to the light tiles in the bathroom and then even on to our fluffy carpet in the bedroom! We had a different brand vacuum robot before which wasn’t able to clean our very fluffy carpet in the bedroom but Neato has no problem with that at all! And every time we clean the dirt bin (after approx 2 runs), we are amazed how much Neato picks up! However, the thing I love most about Neato is that it has a cleaning pattern and doesn’t just randomly drive around! It measures 15 sq feet at a time with its laser and then starts with the edges. Once the edges are cleaned it cleans the rest of the area in back and forth movements (think of it as large 0 shapes). And it knows exactly where it has been! Once it got stuck (my fault, I didn’t hide a cable well enough) it ran out of battery before being able to finish cleaning the apartment. No problem at all for Neato, it easily finds its docking station, charges until approx 80% and then goes right to the spot where it left off! Amazing robot! I would highly recommend this to my friends and family! It’s a bit pricier than other options out there but it’s definitely worth it!

Purchased on fairly deep discount via a sale to help out with the choir of vacuuming. Quite sure I could not afford the luxury of a robot vacuum cleaner at anything close to MSRP and even with the big savings my wife is skeptical of the whole endeavor. Random thoughts: Seems to clean pretty well (which is the whole point), seamlessly transitions from carpets to hard surfaces, app is pretty intuitive and works well, it has yet to get stuck navigating or get itself in trouble due to the laser navigation, is reasonably quiet, has a big enough bin to do the job, battery is big enough to handle my house, etc. So to sum it up, I have no complaints on my purchase so far, but it hasn't totally justified it's existence for my wife and I can't give a perfect review until I've had it for longer and better understand the total cost of ownership over the life of the product.

My wife had been asking for a robot vac for a couple years. My impression was that they ran out of juice quickly and did not clean well. Maybe that was the first generation of bots, but the whole ballgame has changed. I compared the Neato vs. Roomba and picked the Neato primarily because of its square design which seems to help it easily get into tight corners to clean thoroughly. We sometimes have pets in the house and the hair accumulates on the floor agains the wall and in corners. When our Neato goes around, it gets every strand and runs for a long while... 90 minutes or so... without needing a recharge. Generally we have him run 3-4 times per week and does a really nice job of keeping the floors clean. No grit and a pleasure to walk around the house barefoot. We've had it about a week and have been impressed with its performance and ease of use via the app. Highly recommend.

I love my Neato and use it every other day. It took 1 cleaning to learn the house, then I could setup no go lines and they work to avoid areas. It cleans my entire first level on a charge and then the upstairs on another of which I have to carry it upstairs. It handles all types of carpet and non carpet floors. I have a dog and it does a good job of picking up all the pet hair. I ran my standard vacumn a day after using Neato and had hardly anything picked up so I am impressed and thankful to own this! I love the fact that it cleans 1 room at a time leaves nice lines in my carpet and also will change direction the next time it cleans. The Alexa apps works good as well, some say the skill wont use your vacumns name but I think that was fixed because I just tell alexa "tell Baxtor to clean the house" and it responds with Neato and starts the vacumn.

There are some connectivity issues, I have had to reconnect it to my network over 3 times. Outside of that as a robo vac it does a pretty great job. It has all the faults of an unmaned vac aka getting stuck in tight spots, sucking up cords/socks or other items that should haven been picked up -- no fualt of the bot -- it does a good job of sending notifications to the app to tell you when its having an issue. Its got a large bin, easy to empty. I love the little slot behind the bumper that can be used as a handle to easily pick up and move. All issues I have are software and app releated. If the app was better I would have done 5 stars. As it is half the time it does not reconise the set floor plan, which you can mark 'no-go lines' on so its likly to get into places you do not want it, and you have to manualy go start it, or go into the app and force it to start.

My wife and i have a two story home. We run this primarily on our first floor. The floor plan is open with door ways and various types of furniture. It also has multiple types of flooring from hardwood with runners to medium pile carpet. It does an absolutely fantastic job. It navigates well through difficult areas and transitions with ease. It vacuums approximately 750 sq ft in a little over an hour and always has 30-40% of its battery left. Only once or twice has it gotten into an area it couldn't get itself out of. This was our 2nd attempt at a robotic vacuum. Our first was the neato d85. That model died before it ever finished, never vacuumed in a pattern as advertised, and got hung up multiple times each time we ran it. We returned that one to buy this one reluctantly because of the additional cost but it was completely worth it. We have a dog and three cats and before we were constantly vacuuming. Now the house is being cleaned while we're eating breakfast or getting ready for work. I can't recommend it enough! It's wonderful!

This Neato is a great, smart robot vacuum. You want a clean floor? This vacuum has the suction power and the brains to get the job done right. The heck with roombas or any other brands!! Neato is the way to go. It picks a pattern once it gets to know your house for faster and efficient way of cleaning. I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

Neato Botvac D5 Connected: Does a great job on hardwoods and a good job collecting surface debris on carpets. If you want embedded dirt out of carpets you will have to use a standard vaccuum. I have a long haired dog and it is a great way to keep the shedding hair on the floor minimized if you use it daily. However it takes cleaning the brush off occassionally. Technical issues: I am generally able to figure out technical issues but have not been able to learn how to program the neato to be programmed to vaccuum on an automatic schedule, although it is just a push of a button to get it started manually. Returns to base 95% of the time for me. Things that prevent it from coming back to base would be entrapment or clogged from a rug, sock and so forth. Also you have to make sure you block the areas that it can get trapped (behind the couch, under some pieces of furniture), which you will learn with use. I have put a vase on each side of my couch to prevent it from going behind and put a box underneath one of my cabinets so it cannot get under it far enough to get trapped. I would highly recommend the best buy 2 yr service protection! My neato just decided to have issues so I am taking it to best buy today. Comparison to roomba: My son has a roomba which he loaned to me to see if I would like it before I got the neato $500. Roomba $800 is alot more expensive but does not work any better than my neato vaccuum. I did my research and found the neato has more suction power than the roomba and does a more accurate pattern of cleaning.

Excellent suction power and navigation is superb. Easily gets everywhere and the post-use map shows you everywhere that has been cleaned. The only issue I've had with this product is the side brush stopped working not too long after purchase. However, even without the side brush it still cleans edges effectively due to the shape of this robot compared with circular robots.

This vacuum does a great job. Comes with extra filters. Last about an hour. Finds its docking station everytime it's done. I have one on each floor. The app is great. Can see where it went and vacuumed. If it sucks something up it shouldn't it will notify you where it's at and turn off. I bought it on sale, great buy. Only 4 stars because it gets stuck occasionally on my stools. Since then I have made that a no zone and it knows not go by them.

I was actually blown away by this thing. I did a ton of research before purchasing as I always do. I am not disappointed at all with it's performance. Right out of the box it was extremely easy to get setup. First run it easily navigated and mapped my whole downstairs like it's been cleaning my house for years. We have two small kids and every meal equals crumbs and such all over the floor. We we're constantly sweeping every day but now Rosie, our robot vacuum, cleans up every night after everyone goes to bed. Now we wake up to clean carpets, tile and hardwoods every morning. Priceless!
