Posted .Hi, thank you for reviewing the Hoover WindTunnel 3 High Performance Pet Upright Vacuum. Here are some helpful tips to improve the suction: check to see if the filter or nozzle is clogged. Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove the debris. While you have the filter removed rinse it with water until the water runs clear, allow dry time (24-36 hours). Worst Vacuum Ever!

I returned it after having it just a few months because it stopped sucking up dirt. It was easily replaced. I got the replacement in June and did not use it until July as I was out of the country for the summer. Now it has stopped sucking stuff up again! I cleaned everything out and still no suction. So I'll be taking it back to the Geek Squad for another replacement. I'm hoping to just be able to get another brand or something.

Posted .Hi Vacuumrus, thank you for reviewing the Hoover WindTunnel 3 High Performance Pet Bagless Upright Vacuum. We recommend checking your vacuum and filter for clogs. Turn off your unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove any debris there may be. Then remove the filter and put it under running water until the water runs clear to remove any dirt and debris. Squeeze the filter while under water, and then remove from water and squeeze again to remove excess water. Please allow the filter to dry completely before replacing the filter into your vacuum (this may take up to 48 hours). Disappointing Hoover product

The assembly instructions were poorly written and difficult to read without a magnifying glass. If you buy this like I did you'll probably return it also.

It started off working great but now there is no suction for the brush area of the vacuum. The hose still has great suction and the brushes for the floor piece spin, but there is no suction. I am past my return window for Best Buy and Hoover has been no help in correcting the issue. I would not recommend this vacuum.

Posted .Hi Ryan7678! If you are experiencing a loss of suction with your WindTunnel 3 High Performance, please give this a try: The long hose is designed to be removed completely. You can run a broomstick through the hose to check for clogs. The lower hose could also be checked for clogs. You can use a grabber tool or something similar and remove anything found here. The filter is washable with water. Once washed, allow to air dry for 24 hours. We recommend doing this every 4-6 full uses of the vacuum. Hope this helps! -Michael, Hoover Customer Care

After buying and using this vacuum once, we returned it to the store for a full refund. The vacuum is extremely hard to push for just vacuuming the carpet and would not vacuum rugs at all regardless of height setting. In addition the cord is in the way when vacuuming. Do not purchase this vacuum, save your money and buy another brand/make.

I guess hoover stopped making the self-propelled bagless any more. My bad, should have taken it back and looked further, maybe bought a shark or something else that is not so hard to use on deep carpet.

After a year of use

Well, that has aged well. The handle snapped in half. Normal use, once a week, small house. Also, the plastic lid which unhinges to let out the contents of the basket also broke off 2 weeks ago. Really disappointed in the quality for this price.
