Amazing Blender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my blender, husband bought it for our sons baby food. Making his food is so much easier with this blender, my only complaint is the cleaning. I've washed it and it still has the grinded oatmeal still on it. Took several tries to get it off as I don't want to cut myself.

Great blender that is easy to clean!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the Nutri Ninja Duo Blendmax, 2 functions, 1 base. Included in the box - 1600 Watt Base, Max 88 oz Total Crushing Pitcher, Total Crushing Blades Assembly, 1 - 18 oz and 2 - 24 oz Tritan Nutri Ninja Cups, 3 Spout Lids (for the cups), Pro Extractor Blades Assembly (for use with cups) and a 20 Recipe Guide. The first thing I did was take all of the parts out and wash them, noting that all of the parts were made in a way that they are very easy to clean. That is important to me. If something is difficult to clean, I probably won’t think it is worth dragging it out to use. The pitcher is huge! Much larger capacity than I have seen with other blenders. I will be using this to try out the Mudslide recipe for some friends. As for the base, it is heavy enough to feel sturdy but not so heavy as to be difficult to put it away regularly. This blender has Auto-IQ, which is automatic programs that are built in to make using it a no brainer. I did not own a blender before this one but wanted to own a good one and that is what I believe I have. The Auto-IQ buttons include: Smoothie, Frozen drink, Extract, Puree and Total Crush. The base also has buttons for low, medium, high and pulse actions. I gave the recipe book a quick look and then went to the fridge to get some stuff to make a smoothie. I saw in the book that you could use the extract button to break down “fibrous ingredients” to include skins and seeds so I decided to start with an orange. It wasn’t organic so I peeled it but dropped the rest into the cup for processing using the extract button. It totally juiced that orange in no time with no trace of seeds, just nice and pulpy, which you could choose to strain if you liked. I used that as the liquid to make a strawberry orange smoothie. I had bagged ice that I threw in with whole fresh strawberries. My daughter said that I had better give this a very good review because she drinks smoothies all of the time and said that she has yet to have one with no grains of ice in it until now. She literally said it was the smoothest smoothie she had ever had. I have not had a chance to use every function of this blender yet, but I can’t wait to try them all as this appears to be an excellent blender. Make sure you pay attention to the recipe book as far as how you are to load the cups and pitcher. I'm sure they have this information in there for a good reason and think it maximizes results. I followed the suggested order and my smoothie results have been great! The only downside is I think it is a little loud during operation, but I have no real experience to make a comparison. I will try to update this review after I have more experience with my new blender.

Incredible upgrade
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a standard blender for years without thinking about performance, it was just what I expected from a blender. That all changed with this Ninja Blendmax Duo. This thing is so powerful that it has suction cups built into the bottom to keep it in place! There are a couple of things to take into consideration when deciding on your purchase. First, it is loud. I can understand why, when considering the power it has, but still it seems worthy of note. Second is the space it takes up. It has 3 “cups”, 3 travel lids, a food processor bowl, and two food processor blades. Definitely requires more space than the old blender. Both of those things seem trivial when compared to what this thing does. It crushes frozen ice and berries without the slightest indication of struggle, it utilizes the same container to blend in and to drink from, and the travel lids are designed so that the flip-top stays open when drinking rather than falling onto your nose. Also, the pre-programmed smoothie setting is genius; it runs for 60 seconds with periodic pauses to let heavier items settle back down around the blades. This produces uniformly smooth, frozen fruit drinks. There is a recipe book included, but I’ve not gotten around to trying any of the recipes. I’ll have to update after I do.

Delightful Smoothies !
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon first use, the Ninja BlendMax Duo showcases its strength as an all in one blender. The amount of power this thing has is ridiculous - crushing even ice as if it was nothing! In the box, you will find everything needed to create amazing smoothies, milkshakes, malts and other delicious creations. In addition, it also includes a twenty page recipe guide to help get you started on utilizing the BlendMax Duo. In the box, the BlendMax is packed quite well. On the main 1600 watt base unit, it lists several presets including extract, smoothie, and frozen drink, puree and lastly Total Crush. Each of these modes has its own preset duration except for the manual speed selections, which will continue to run until you press it again. In addition, there is an AutoIQ function that is tied to each of the aforementioned presets. When it is set to yes, you will have a thinner consistency and with it off it will be slightly thicker. The AutoIQ also determines the duration of each preset. For example, on Smoothie with it set to yes, it will run for 50 seconds and when it is set to no, it ran for 40 seconds. The AutoIQ also utilizes short bursts as it prepared our smoothie. On the bottom of the base unit, it has a few suction cups to hold it in place. The suctions were extremely sturdy and created the strongest suction I have ever seen on a kitchen appliance. It will definitely not fall off the counter while you are blending drinks! In addition to the base, the 88 oz pitcher is a sight when first unpacked! It is huge and perfect for destroying any ingredient you desire as well as ice for frozen based drinks. It should also be noted that the Total Crush mode is exclusive only to the 88 oz pitcher for heavier duty tasks. You will also be able to note which modes are available depending on your cup choice by the LED light that lights up to each mode. I actually used 88 oz to blend up bananas for our banana bread recipe and it is extremely powerful. It was done in two seconds and it is LOUD! In addition to the pitcher, the BlendMax Duo also comes with the 24 and 18 oz Nutri Ninja Cups. Personally, the Ninja Cups were one of my favorite aspects as they are easy to work with and are perfect for individual or small group servings. Another aspect of the BlendMax was that it also has a couple of safety features. The led will light up and tell you if the lid is not on properly or it is not locked into place. For a BlendMax duo test, I decided to try several different shakes and hopefully will be able to provide a few pointers. For creating milkshakes or malts, the manual low setting worked the best allowing you to check for your preferred level of thickness and consistency. In addition, a few times you may have to push down a few ingredients, though not a fault of the blender; when we were using ice cream the blade would sometimes only reach the bottom half of ingredients until the ice cream melted a bit or until I added a bit more milk. The result though was worth it; the consistency was perfect! In addition to milkshakes, I also tried the Island Sunrise Smoothie found in the recipe book that came with the blender. I would recommend this as a starter recipe since it came out excellent. I would like to note though that you will need to watch your liquid on this one. I did not drain the frozen strawberries and combined with the coconut water, I exceeded the max liquid line and had to pour about half of the liquid out. However, it still came out really good. It was sweet enough, but not overly so. For the mango chunks, I used canned ones as opposed to frozen which also may affect the recipe, however, for the pineapple I actually used a fresh cut one. In conclusion, I would highly recommend the Ninja BlendMax Duo to those who need something powerful as well as efficient. It would tailor to healthy lifestyles perfectly and there are several recipes included that are worth a try. In addition, this also will allow you to experiment with recipes or create your own. For cleaning and storing, the Ninja BlendMax was relatively easy to clean and the ability to use the cups on the go is also a plus as well! They are also dishwasher safe, though blades and lids must go on the top rack. Even though its cost might deter some at first, the BlendMax is an awesome product and screams quality. It will definitely be a go to appliance for years to come.

Wow turned me into loving smoothies
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got my product two day ago and assembled it the same day and put it into use for the holidays. It comes with 1600-Watt Motor Base with Auto-iQ Boost, 88 ounce Pitcher with Lid and Pour Spout (about 80 ounce total though) A set of very, very powerful rust free Total Crushing Blades, (2) 24 ounce cups and an 18 ounce cup and (3) Spout Lids, Instruction Book, a very nice 20-Recipe Inspiration Guide and a useful (to me) Quick Start Guide. The box shows two bases but it does in fact only include one base. I am a first time user of these types of fruit smoothie blenders and must say this is a pleasure to use. The jars are all BPA free plastics and not microwavable nor useable for hot items. The blades are the most difficult part to set up but that is basically a breeze. The power of the motor seems suitable for a small snow blower. The motor completely obliterates the fruit and other ingredients and makes the smoothie a real professional smoothie you pay money to get at fancy stores. Strawberries, omg are so delicious, ice cream smoothies are the best. I just love the machine and love the smaller jars to blend smaller on the go portions. I think the overall design, easy of cleanup, power and durability make this one machine to make part of your permanent kitchen appliances. I feel healthier for just having it. I can not wait to experiment with more fruits and whatever else I can think of. Ah yes great for making delicious adult beverages...really fun experimenting so far. Buy it!, it can replace at least two kitchen appliances so you will have room to make it a staple appliance on your countertop. One other important thing is the stacking nature of these blades and the IQ programs are what makes mixing ingredients throughly better on this blender than other blenders I have seen at friends homes.

Total crushing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This blender is powerful and easy to use. It comes with two jars and one pitcher that has blade to work along with all attachments. Overall, this blender is super powerful and gets works done fast. Equipped with suction cups on at the bottom of the machine that gives it a firm standing. The only cons of this machine is loud other than that it's amazing and great addition to kitchen. I recommend it to any household.

Stylish Powerful Beast of a Blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impression was, WOW. The Ninja BlendMax Duo was not like any other blender I had ever seen, it is High Tech Stylish Beast of a blender. After reading through the instruction manual and Recipe Inspiration Guide we got right into our first production, Cherry Snow Cones as suggested by a young family member. So, with the weather at a balmy 20 degrees we whipped up our first concoction. Do read the Instructions carefully as you are dealing with a powerful bladed appliance. When washing the blades the instructions suggest washing with a brush rather than by hand, highly recommended. So, after washing and drying we began. Filled the large container, The Total Crushing Pitcher which holds up to 88oz. There are also two smaller Tritan Ninja Cups which hold 24oz and 18oz respectively which work with the Pro Extractor Blades. Hands full of ice cubes went into the pitcher, followed the instructions and in a few punches of buttons the Beast wound up and in moments turned our pile of ice cubes into some mighty fine snow cone ice. Topped with cherry juice, delicious. Plus, easy to clean by simply rinsing the ice out and drying. Next up was a lovely soup from the recipe book, which is delicious as well as healthy. Again, after prep it was a whiz to blend the ingredients. If you are looking for a blender that does it all, and has the “Power” to get the job done take a serious look at the Ninja.

Beauty AND the Beast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first saw this blender and the rest of the Ninja line I was skeptical. Most of what I saw were the informercials and that typically translates into, “over-priced garbage that isn’t worth a hill of beans”. Then I received the Nutri Ninja Blendmax Duo Auto-iq as a gift. Man, was I surprised! Seems well built and the only reservation I still have is that the pitcher appears to be polycarbonate instead of the glass pitchers that I’m accustomed to. But that’s just the “old fashioned” part of my brain kicking in. This appliance has a good capacity pitcher for blending/pureeing just about anything that you can throw into it. There are 2 tall cups and 1 short cup. These are great for mixing up drinks one-off. They do a very good job at pulverizing anything in there. My first creation was a strawberry yogurt smoothie. It wasn’t perfect, but I dare you to find a blender that is. There was very little of the seeds left at all, so my smoothie was actually very smooth. AND YUMMY! (but most of the credit goes to the creator—me) LOL The second thing I threw at it was my Sage. I like to grow my own herbs since it’s monumentally cheaper than store bought bottles. So I took all the Sage that I grew this summer and had dried earlier and tossed it in the pitcher. Locked the lid and hit “Total Crush”. Slightly less than one minute later my Sage leaves and stems were reduced to a finely ground powder. Just what I want for cooking! Third try, Gazpacho! I like the base of my Gazpacho to be velvety. Just like the way I first tried it. Dumped all my base ingredients: tomatoes, peppers, carrots, celery, etc in and in a couple of minutes it was a smooth delicious slurry. Nom, nom, nom. After that I just had to see what it would do for a conventional frozen drink. Ice, sour mix, liberal addition of Tequila. Whoa, I’m half in the bag now. Woo hoo! Some other reviewers have stated that they think it’s loud. To me, it’s nowhere near as loud as my old blender. And, after all, it’s a freaking blender; and it’s powerful. So there will be some noise, get over it. The auto pre-sets really help out. You have three main speeds, pulse and several presets. Want a smoothie? There’s a button. Want a frozen drink? There’s a button. Want to crush something into oblivion? There’s a button. For example, I loaded it with just ice to see what it would do. A minute later I had a blender filled with snow. NO inconsistency, no chunks left behind. The pros: * Great capacity and variety: 3 sizes - 2 tall - 1 short - 1 pitcher * Positively Locking Lid - Give you a sense of security with all this power * Very powerful motor * Auto pre-sets * Affordable, but even better as a Christmas gift because it’s free! * Actually worth the price charged if you want one and don’t have a benefactor. * Quieter than most blenders The cons: * Non-glass pitcher, but then again it probably won’t shatter if dropped. So maybe not too much of a con. * Costs more than $50.00 (yeah, cause I’m cheap!) I can hardly wait until next fall when my Pumpkins crop comes in. I’m sure that this beauty will be a real beast when I need to puree 4-6 roasted pumpkins into puree. As I said in the beginning, I was a skeptic when I first got it. But now I’m a believer. I may not even put in back in the appliance cabinet. This is going to get a lot of use so I think it will stay out on the counter for a good while.

Very Powerful, but LOUD
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first step after unpacking was to fill the blender to the max liquid line and give it a spin to make sure it was "clean". After selecting the Frozen Drink button, the motor came to life and really caught my attention. It 's quite loud, but you could clearly see a real vortex in the spinning water, with the slight problem that it was leaking from the well sealed top (which I rechecked to make sure it was well closed - it was). I tried again, and still it leaked; I removed about 8oz of water and it no loner leaked - my advise, consider it a 80oz pitcher not a 88oz. I then proceeded to make ice cream smooth with mint chocolate chip ice cream, a little half and half and a few ice cubes. I selected the AutoIQ function for smoothy and it went to work for about 1:10, pulsing one and off, loudly. The bottom of the unit has suctions cups on it so it stayed firmly in place. The smoothy emerged, with no real sign of chocolate chip, just dots the size of vanilla bean seeds. Just what I'd hoped for - a job well done by the Ninja. Clean-up was easy just half fill the blender with water, turn it on, for a few seconds and the blender looked clean, carefully remove the very sharp blades, and dry, which is pretty easy as it's easy to reach in side the well sized blender. I later made an adult beverage in the included 16oz "bullet" cup and it returns a wonderful frozen concoction, with the ice fairly evenly crushed. A few lumps remained, that a few extra pulses remedied. Except for the loudness a good experience. They say the blender is top shelf dishwasher safe, but getting it upright on the top shelf, was not going to happen in my dish washer. The duo package includes 3 ninja cups (1*18oz & 2*24oz) thes are very sturdy solid cups. I would have given the blender 5 stars if it were not for the fill max leak, and the loudness of the unit. This is a very powerful blender that can certainly crush much of it's competition (pun intended); is seems very well build, but it is noisy, but I would recommend it as would expect it to liquify just about anything.

Great for everyone's needs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple Answer: Do I like it? Yes its surprisingly easy to use especially after seeing it out of the box. Long Answer: Starting out the box was a lot going on. If your like me and tend to keep boxes, on this one you won't. It's a nice jenga project with so much cardboard which does leave a presentation of the brand cares about the product getting to you. After you get it out with everything you get to your first worry. There is a lot going on and looks like it will be fun to clean. Surprisingly its much easier to clean and no matter what I blend those blades stay sharp. I had one moment in particular where I used dried chili pods when making tamales and my old blender would take forever because they are so dry and the ninja blender blends it super fast. The only thing that I would say I'm glad and sad about with this unit is the base unit is HEAVY! You mix that with the suction cups at the bottom of the unit and once you find a place for it believe me you will never want to move it again. I would say easily this is a blender you will buy once and never need again. You should buy this for yourself and as a Christmas gift to someone you know who would use it. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Powerful, easy to use blender.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're in the market for a blender, this is an easy recommendation. From the thoughtful features like strong suction cups that firmly keep the blender in place, to the unique Auto IQ system, you can't go wrong here. It also comes with handy cups that are ready to drink right after blending by just swapping out the lid from the blending lid to the spout lid. Not to mention, possibly the headlining feature, the 88 oz pitcher. Pros: great features, accessories and power. Cons: It's loud, but ya know, it's a blender. :)

Foolproof smoothies , with your ingredients
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always love a well packed appliance. The Ninja Juicer was spot on. Watch the warnings regarding the sharp blades. I can't remind you enough this is a serious kitchen tool. Cleaning the jars and larger blender body is easy, even with my large hands. Two 24-ounce and one 18-ounce jar you can mix and go with perfectly sealing lids. The extra large ninja canister is equally impressive First thing I noticed was the unit didn't move about the countertop thanks to suction cup feet. Next was the ability to sense the jars or canister. I made my first smoothie in the 24-oz jar. Frozen strawberries, pineapple slices with some juice, a teaspoon of vanilla and a few ounces of orange juice. Hit the on button, medium speed setting, smoothie button and off it went. Stopping and starting on its own. 45 seconds later, a great textured, ice cold drink. Each flavor still recognizable, but also well blended. Smooth! The motor in the power unit was surprisingly quiet.

Amazingly reliable Ninja blender!

A Frozen Drink Genius!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NutriNinja Duo Blender is by far the best blender I have ever owned. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enjoying this so far after getting back into smoothies. Fun combining all kinds of ingredients and watching this thing pulverize them. As most have said, it is quite loud, but is rarely needed for more than a minute at a time, at least in my experience so far. Great Blender but has some flaws.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great blender. This is my first good quality blender after buying cheaper blenders. I do like the power and function of the blender. I love having the ability to use both the large jar as well as the plastic cups. The two problems that I have with it are that it is really loud, and when I blend, I often have to stop and push the fruits that I want to blend down near the blades before they get blended. I still enjoy the blender, but I wish that I did not have to stop and push down fruit and that it was a little quieter. This is a good quality blender that is not going to break the bank like a Vitamix or Blendtec.

Blend it up!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past, I didn't use blenders or juicers however, after using the NINJA, I definitely understand how juicing can become a lifestyle. The model I received has the 1500 watt motor, 88 oz blender, 3 bullet cups with lids and a blender attachment for the cups. The blender also comes with a recipe book which has some good recipe's and pointers on what ingredients to use, so make sure take that to the store with you when you shop for ingredients. In my excitement to start making some drinks I spent about 80 bucks on ingredients and started blending. Now to talk about performance. The blender easily chopped through everything to include the ice and frozen fruits. Also depending on which setting I used, the blender was able to independently give me different drink consistencies. overall i like the blender and would recommend it to others.

Getting The Job Done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great blender, use it every day for smoothies with tons of frozen fruits. So far not one hiccup in the performance, but it can get loud if you select medium or high speed. The 1500 watt power is amazing and I question myself why I have waited so long to buy one.
