I hate housework, but this lightweight, cordless, but powerful unit has slashed my vacuum time in half. 740 sq. ft. takes 10 to 12 min. instead of 30 min. with my old vacuum. Why? No stopping to find a new plug. It is lighter and it fits under furniture and tight corners. Plus, I can do my car that is nowhere near a plug.

Coming from someone who is used to corded vacuums I thought it was time for me to finally get a wireless stick vacuum. I was ready to buy the Tineco but my partner was set on the Dyson. We have two cats and a baby so as he explained the Dyson would be best. It’s mid at best. We have a $79 shark pet handheld vacuum and that does a better job than the Dyson. The Dyson does however work really well on the Max power setting. But I’ve never maxed out using it (no pun intended) but it’s supposed to last 9 mins on Max. I only use it for hard to clean messes like cat fur off our carpet-less floors. Or in the nooks and crevices of the baby’s high chair. Or hard to reach places where the nozzle can’t fully reach the max is powerful enough to suck items it doesn’t touch up. (Think: Super Mario Bro Invincible Star). But it’s not a bad vacuum it gets the job done and I haven’t had the battery run out on me yet. We use it in short bursts for the most part clean one room then vacuum -put it back on the the charger- clean the next. I’m hoping the v15 or the submarine one works better especially for the price. But if you’re looking for something that meets expectations, gets the job done, and doesn’t wow you with every use. Look no further. (Maybe look at the Tineco for half the price)?

Strong, portable, multiple tips, light weight, this vacuum is amazing

I would give it a 5/5 but the only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because the vaccum lasts only about 10 minutes and then I need to charge it which is not good. I now wish I knew that because I would rather get a vaccum that has a cord so that I don’t have to worry about how long it will last. Especially with the price this vaccum is.

Great vacuum cleaner, the canister is a little small for the area I need to vacuum daily, so I have to empty more. Other than that, it works very well and gets even my baseboards clean.

Very good equipment! It's truly powerful, as advertised. The battery charges in an hour and a half and lasts an hour in active mode. Lightweight yet powerful!

I purchased the Dyson V8 for my mom for Christmas. She’s older and has a big heavy Kirby vacuum that seems average at best- to her heavy means it’s quality. Well I had her vacuum with her Kirby and then I vacuumed the same carpet with the Dyson. I almost completely filled the canister! I don’t blame her - decades ago cordless vacs were weak and ineffective compared to their plug-in counterparts. The Dyson V8 is proof that even a mid-level Dyson is better than what used to be a premium vacuum from the 90s. My mom isn’t a total convert yet - she’s suspicious of the battery lasting the rest of time, but with a Li-on battery, I’m not at all worried. So back to the performance of the V8 - what a great machine. I have an older model and it seems that each new verso. Of the Dyson vacs gets better and better. I love the choice of the attachment heads. The short motorized head is perfect for carpeted stairs and the long motorized head works well on shorter and longer pile carpets alike. I also love the wall hanging charger. It holds a couple attachments and takes up very little space. I’m secretly hoping my older model Dyson doesn’t hold on forever because I’m looking forward to upgrading at some point!

While this is great for getting literally anywhere (got cobwebs off the ceiling even) the battery life leaves something to be desired in regards to how short the life is if you need high suction. With animal hair you need stronger suction and that kills the battery quickly.

I love Dyson! Particularly their floor tools. This one is great because of the enhancements and all the attachments. I used this on a daily basis. It was worth the cost. It's a time-saver.

Way more powerful than my old Shark plugin stick, gets things right against walls and sucks up things I didn't think possible

Pros: Cordless, lightweight for use on stairs, GREAT SUCTION!!! attachements included are great for furniture and auto. Cons: Short battery life depending on the mode ( 2 modes). will not work if its plugged in. Dyson: you should make it so we can use it with cord or cordless. LONG charging time just to turn on. Maybe i got a dud... I can see this being great for a small apartment/ light use. I know the newer versions have longer battery life, shell out the extra $$ for a newer model.

Fantastic vacuum. I love that it is cord-free. It has made vacuuming so simple and easy. I find myself vacuuming more often than I used to because it is so simple and easy. I've been so impressed by how much it picks up even after repeated uses. Only complaint is that the battery doesn't last very long. But that is understandable. Highly recommend!!

I absolutely loved it! It’s powerful, lightweight, and incredibly easy to maneuver. It picks up everything—dust, pet hair, even the tiniest crumbs—with no effort at all. The design is sleek, and the battery life is impressive. Cleaning has become so much quicker and more efficient. Totally worth the investment!

Every home should have one. It has 2 different levels of vacuuming. Mostly we are using the lower level and mostly it is enough.

I am extremely pleased with my Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner. The product is lightweight, flexible and can be used on hardwood floors and carpet.
