VERY satisfied with this mouse. Have bought cheaper ones, but grew tired of running out of battery, Also, cheaper ones did not track well, really frustrating. For about $25. I am super happy with response of mouse tracking and pleased battery life should be 3 years. Yay! I also just like the feel of it in my hand.

Great mouse for the price, works with Logitech Unifying, and is so much better than an in house mouse that you are given at work, so I bring my own and is great for meetings. I hate the trackpad on my windows work machine!

The only reason I gave this three stars instead of five is due to the scroll wheel. When you release the wheel it "settles" in a different position and causes the page you are viewing to scroll up/down or the image to zoom in/out. It is annoying but it should not undo all of the other great features of this mouse. Maybe I had purchased a defective unit but it is not worth my time to find out as I have become accustomed to this "quirk". Besides the back/forward buttons, it also has a small button towards the bottom that when pressed, displays all of the active windows and allows you to select a new window seamlessly. This is a major positive for my line of work as it has made me feel more productive in product design and CAD/CAM engineering.

I normally wouldn't write about a mouse. But this thing is fantastic, it's portable -but substantial enough to bring to work - I get gout in my hands so a small mouse can be painful. This is great.

This mouse is exactly what we were looking for. Affordable, worked right out of the box, easy to install and use. All buttons were responsive and sensitivity is easily adjusted.Perfect for our student to use with laptop and affordable enough to replace should there be an unfortunate "accident."

Excellent wireless mouse. I bought one of these when the model first came out and it lasted for years before the right-click button began showing signs of wear. I use the mouse heavily for computing and gaming. After surveying the current models, I was happy to buy the same M705 model again, and at a much cheaper price than the first time! This has the features I need - wireless, scroll wheel, minimal thumb buttons, and a shape that is comfortable in my hand for extended periods of time. I wouldn't mind if it was a little larger for my big hands, but the shape is easy to grip. Some gamers may desire higher resolution, faster response, more buttons, but I don't require that (not into fast-twitch competitive shooters). I don't want extra buttons because I won't use them and they actually get in the way and cause unintended actions. For example, the 'higher' Logitech models have a new button to control multiple sources, like I'll ever use that, which is located near the other thumb buttons and too easy to press. I like the fact that this model uses 2 AA batteries instead of a rechargeable internal battery. No need to bother with a wired charging stand; the batteries last for so many months I can't keep track, and if they ever get low just pop in some new ones and forget about it again. It also seems fairly rugged and survived multiple falls onto a wood floor. If you are looking for a shaped wireless mouse for anything but high-end gaming, I recommend this unit!

I like the scroll wheel lock and ergonomic design

The scroll wheel lock was the feature which inclined me to buy it. With the push of the button behind the scroll wheel, it spins freely. No need to continue fingering the wheel to get to the bottom of long pages. Just push the button and give the wheel a spin. If I want to scroll smaller areas, I just re-engage the lock and it goes back to operating like a tradition mouse, preventing the wheel to spin freely.

I was looking for a 'unifi' receiver capable mouse with a thumb button for browsing backup. I got this one on a great deal, I think it was 50% off. I jumped without looking much at the features above my minimum requirements. Now that I'm using it, the 'select' a scroll speed is great. One click and you can scroll even the longest web pages in one tug. Click it again and you have line by line detail control. It tracks great like all of the 'multi surface' Logitech mice of the last few years and the click feel is a little more premium than the low-grade unifi mice. All around a really good machine.

    Perfect Mid-Sized Mouse

The MX Master was too big. The MX Anywhere was too small. Despite its age, the Logitech Marathon remains the best mid-sized mouse for the everyday user. The size of the Marathon allows for it to operate as a travel mouse or permanent fixture and the extended battery life means I don't have to recharge all the time, as comes with MX series mice. Because of the continued reliability and comfort that this mouse provides, my Radiology group has opted to use the Marathon at all workstations around the area. Free scroll is a must for my radiologists and the design of the mouse allows for all grip styles.

And I rushed to Best Buy to find another version of this. I've used lots of mice over the years and this one is the best for my needs. It's very responsive and fits my hand well. I don't mind that it isn't Bluetooth as this is connected to my home PC all the time - so I don't mind that I need the little RF dongle plugged in!

I need an ergonomic mouse for work, and this one is a very good fit for my small hand and very comfortable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the scroll wheel is a little too sensitive so sometimes it jumps down the page when you slightly touch it by accident.

I have several of these Marathons, both at home and at work. I find they are perfect for office and home, and I don't want to be without the back and forward buttons on the side. You can program them for other uses, but for me the back button is indispensable, especially when using my browser. The units I have at work are going on 4 and 5 years on the original batteries, and they continue to work flawlessly. And they're priced very reasonable.
