Wasn't all that impressed with this vacuum. It's OK and does the job however a couple things about this just didn't seem right. First off, the swivel steering is supposed to be easier to move it around corners and such. I didn't find it all that different from a normal vacuum cleaner. The body (canister) of the vacuum is fairly tall so the center of gravity is a bit off so when you're maneuvering the vacuum around corners, it seems little top heavy. As such, it really didn't feel easy to use like other vacuums. Secondly, the power button. Most vacuums have a separate switch or button to adjust the vacuum's mode when changing from hard wood floor or carpet. Personally, I find this method easier however, this vacuum, this setting is in the power switch. If you click the switch once, it's set for wood flooring and if you switch it all the way, it's set for carpet. Little annoying however I can see how some people might see this as more convenient. Lastly, the storage on the vacuum is a little cluttered and could've been a little better laid out. Main issue is with the hose since it's quite long and winds around most of the back of the vacuum. With the hose on, winding the cord on it is a bit difficult and access to some of the attachments are also difficult to access. Also, when I started using this vacuum, there was a strong odor of plastic/oil for some reason. Hoping that goes away but not sure if this is a bad sign or something. On a good note, the power of the vacuum is quite good. I have 1" shag carpet and this vacuum handled it quite well. When used on wood flooring, the suction only setting also worked well. Overall, it's okay but I think there are other vacuums that are better in a lot of aspects.

I lost my Dyson full sized vacuum to flood damage so I needed a replacement. The Shark got good reviews online, and was recommended by actual face to face people. The guy behind me in the pickup line was even remarking about how much he loves his. (A moment to praise the pickup process - Very fast and very easy.) This vacuum was destined for porch and unfinished basement use, so I wanted something simple with good suction. Assembly was easy enough, I think. I took it out of the box and walked away. My 12 year old son took the bait and put it together for me. It didn't take him long. He might have needed a screwdriver. Funny he didn't turn it on and start using it. Oh well. It feels about half the size of the Dyson or any other full sized vacuum. Not a bad thing, but kind of like moving from a luxury sedan to a high mileage compact car. It seemed a little flimsy at first. Everything is close together, so all that extra space for dramatic cord winding and hose brandishing is gone. The cord is long enough, I went all the way down the stairs and didn't have to change outlets. I love the brush control integration into the on/off switch. It is very easy to go from rugs to hard floors. Removing the hose takes some getting used to. To replace it you have to thread it though a narrow ring and guide it into place. Once out, though, the Shark hose is light weight and plenty long. The light weight and small profile was nice on the stairs. The brush gets way into edges and close to the wall. When I was working on the stairs, the two most natural places to grab the back of the canister happened to be where the hose and attachments were. The collection cup is pretty small, but it was big enough for what I needed. Emptying the collection cup was super easy. The filters work well, no fine dust leaked out. Overall I am very happy with this vacuum. It cleaned up the sand, rocks, leaves, etc in the porch and kibble and spilled cat litter in the basement. It is a good value on sale, but I probably wouldn't pay full price. It has excellent suction, but it's smallish and all plastic. Definitely a better option than cordless in my opinion, because it has most of the features of a full sized unit. I don't think I would recommend it as a sole replacement for a full-sized vacuum, though. It's more of an upstairs, downstairs, secondary, or apartment vacuum. For anyone looking for a higher brush vacuum for super soft / super plush carpet, this won't work.

As advertised, great maneuverability, strong suction power, low enough to to get under furniture, light weight, and a very long cord, the bare floor option works great too, and is very easy to empty . Price is fair , it was easy to assemble. I will absolutely recommend this product .

very light, easy to use, easy to empty the chamber. only complaint is i wish the brush bar was powered.

Best vacuum i have ever had. It is quiet. But it gets stuff out of carpet my other two vacs don't.

Generally does a good job sucking things up. Easy enough to empty and clean. Tools work well. Cord is decently long and flexible, but seems durable. Only complaint is that sometimes it grips a bit too hard on some thicker carpet; it can be quite a workout using this thing.

I purchased the shark. I would watch the commercials and I would be on the fence on purchasing it. My boyfriend bought me one and we used it that same night and it was amazing. it even made our room less congested and has a cleaner smell. also you can clean the filter and there is no bag and it doesn't look like a toy vacuum. make sure that you get a warranty for the vacuum.

This vacuum works really well and is easy to assemble and clean out. It's a fairly small vacuum but it's perfect for my apartment. The cord is a great length and I love the hose functions as they actually work!

I'm happy with this purchase. Easy to put together, light to carry around, no mess during clean up, and vacuums well. Would definitely recommend to anyone:O)! Not expensive & does its job!

We got a Shark vacuum 5 years ago and it was the BEST vacuum we ever had. I purchased this one (not because we needed a replacement) to have a smaller vacuum. This one goes under furniture a little better.

The Shark Navigator bagless vacuum cleaner has great power and suction at a lower price than most vacuums in this price range. The hard surface floor option works great when cleaning tile and other non-carpet surfaces around the house. The swivel of the vacuum provides great reach that makes cleaning the house easier than ever. I am very happy with this purchase and will be recommending a Shark vacuum to family and friends!

We looked for a new vacuum for a while until deciding on this one, and we were not disappointed. We've had the Dyson Animal for the past five years and after the first, it went downhill. The Shark cleaned our area rug that I had just vacuumed earlier that day. it's very powerful. It cleans the carpet and hardwoods very well.

The model I wanted was sold out so I picked this bad boy up and my girlfriend loves it. Best vacuum we've owned up until this point.

My previous vacuum lost suction over time, but the Shark is far more powerful for both hard surfaces and carpet than all my vacuums so far. Best Vacuum purchase and very reasonably priced! Even better is how easy the canister is to empty, without having to get your hands dirty!
