Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We'd definitely expect you to receive more than 5 minutes of run time from your V7 Trigger. The Dyson V7 Trigger vacuum cleaner has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool. When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes.

The fan on the motor tends to blow away whatever mess you’re trying to clean BEFORE you can vacuum it up. Perfect. Sometimes life sucks, sometimes your vacuum blows….

Didn't have the suction that we had hoped it would. Returned it.

The Dyson V7 features two suction modes, MAX and regular power. While regular power is suitable for most household messes, you may find that some debris is more stubborn to pick up and does require MAX power mode. While in MAX power, your unit will receive a boost of power, making suction more powerful. When fully charged, you can expect run time from 7-30 minutes, depending on which suction mode and tools you are using. While it was working, you did always have to have it on the max setting to actually pick anything up and then it would only work for about 30 min. Also DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE PETS!!! The hair tangled terrible and it was impossible to get it all untangled

But for the 2 almost 3 years of having this Dyson it did me justice I was able to vacuum up everything from ash to dirt all in the matter of no time! Sad I have to buy from manufacture instead of Best Buy but overall this vacuum is what any body who needs a super clean feel

Worth the price until it stops working after 3 years, the price becomes a rip off after it fails in a short time. Still looks new and now it’s an expensive piece of plastic that I will need to recycle.

The bin of your V7 Trigger will have a MAX fill line to indicate when it is full and time to empty. We generally will recommend emptying your bin by at least the top MAX line that the bin has. I'm also happy to inform you that the clear portion of your bin may be removed for optional maintenance, if desired. While we don't ever expect any problems to occur with your V7, Dyson does back your new machine from an authorized retailer with a free 2-year guarantee. Over priced GARBAGE!!!

Won’t hold a charge and runs about 10 secs and stops for a break to run another 10 secs… after about 10 rounds of that it dies! It just went in the trash… expected more of such an expensive vacuum. Will never own another dyson!
